Description

Well, shucks, I am a Texan's daughter, and a cowgirl
who likes her .30-.30 Remington deer rifle, and
I can appreciate a gun, even got a deer, legally,
on a recent hunt with my brother, nephew, hubbie,
and a visiting member of the Canadian Army on leave
from the Afghanistan war my US Army nephew is also
a part of.
The soldiers each got a deer and I got one...some of
the deer meat was given to a local food bank to help
out a lot of out-of-work people here in Michigan.
K-chan is FANTASTIC; she asked us to visit you
and I visited EACH of y'all, well worth the visit!

Sounds like a good time had by all. That's very good of you to help out your food bank. I've skated close to real poverty a few times so I can appreciate that. Never been hunting myself. I am a fan of gun filled movies tho ^^

The foreground figure began as a pen drawing. The background is a pattern created from several photos of electric circuits alternated and repeated and switched up a bit, then embossed. Everything was done at 90% opacity to allow a view of the equalized drawing beneath (this was Photoshop CS2). I cut out the background away from the subject to give the effect he was embedded in it and applied to dark and light to suggest metal. A few metal textures I made were placed in it at low opacity. from there I painted in the craters and the blisters on the background. All the rest was paint brush.

Forshortening is excellent! The fox looks like he's hesitating to take the shot because the angle of which the gun is held is lowered, this conveys a feeling of inferiority, you captured it mighty fine. The lack of any colour suggests that the character hasn't found the answer to what he is looking for and potrays the feeling of hopelessness. Anyways what program did you use? I like this...so a
