have you ever heard of cirque du soleil? they have a whole show based on icarus called varekai. it makes me so happy because it is beautiful, just like your painting.

i knew the title even before i opened it. I've always been fascinated by Icarus. beautiful painting here. The blur of the human figure contrasts so well with the sharp feathers. well done. this is stunning

awesome oil painting! at first it bothered me without a head, but now i like it becuase i focus on the wings instead!

ha. there's actually a joke to that. the painting, when it's standing on the ground, is just as tall as I am up to the point where if I'm standing behind it, my head pokes out over the top (like those things at the fair where you take your picture as an elephant or what not).
I guess it's only funny to see me lugging the darn thing across campus like that.
