I'm glad you at least sourced where you got your reference from. It is always a good idea to be inspired by other artists and definitely in the case of different materials (such as metal) to see how other artist render such things. But copying other artist's work so exactly isn't always the best way to improve. Your skill in watercolour is definitely commendable, it's a shame you didn't try making your own scene.

This is just awesome! I absolutely love the colours, watercolours make a great effect. The armour is just perfect... and Ed's smile looks cute.
Do I have to mention I'm a total fan of FMA
One of the greatest things about this anime is relationship between Elric brothers: that they stand by each other's side no matter what. I think your picture really shows it.
