"Bah! What can dumb eggface do against Hulk?"
"The name is MODOK and don't take me lightly, green brute!"

Leroy! Hey I have been crazy busy, but I have had some stuff to say about your work for a while now. And now I can say what's been on my mind! I love this! Really. The Hulk's anatomy is super well one. Very believable. MODOK is amazing as well! The building is gorgeous! But there are a few things that I would say need some attention. First off your lighting source seems to be conflicting. the f.g. characters have a consistent light source. that one is top right. Now the building looks to be lit form below. Now this isn't a problem if you trying to imply that there's enough physical space between the characters and the building as to require a different light source. If thats so the lighting is working great. But I would show more of the composition so that we don't confuse the different light sources as a mistake instead of distance in comp. Other than that, I love this piece!

Hi Jeff! No problem... as you can see, haven't been on dA in a long time myself Indeed, my intent was to convey some distance between characters and set although admittedly not as concerned with doing it as effectively as I should have. This started out as an experiment to see if I could make a MODOK model and somehow it grew into a full pic although I should have paid more attention to the background which was mostly just an afterthought. Thanks and you have an excellent critical eye, my friend.

That's incredible work - those expressions - WOW! I really like the angle of the building behind them too - it adds to the dynamics of the image.

Holy cow, you really nailed MODOK! I'm so impressed that you made his outfit in Hex! It looks awesome, and you really got his look down, head and all. And the Hulk looks great too. Way to go on this one, Lance! Excellent work!!!

Thanks Ryan! I really thought that as such extreme physical specimens, both of these characters would be a fun challenge to try to pull off. Most happy to hear you tell me I did!

Cooool! I love the hulk and you created such a great image with him! Yea! Wow, love the little rocket chair that you built in Hex!!! Awesome! Really well done Lance! Bravo! I love that he fits so perfectly inside of it and has the little lever to control it! hehe Yea! Great perspective on the scene as well! I really love the color tinting you have achieved on the hulk. That green is just perfect! I never seem to be able to get good skin colors like this! This is just a fantastic image! You really bumped it up several notches my friend! Whoo Hoo! Most excellent work!!

Thanks Suzi! These were such fun characters to do! Yeah, that little lever MODOK uses is part of the original design... a part I always loved myself!
Thanks for the compliment on the colors as well although I think it's mostly just PS postwork with curve adjustments and saturation. Deepest appreciation for the kindness of the comments, I am grinning ear to ear!

It's true! I tried to give MODOK a more nimble and less clunky look and I inadvertently turned him into an angry old rocket toddler! Thanks Scott. Glad ya liked it.

Indeed! The first thing a supervillain learns is how to break the laws of fashion.
