I just realized Nukilla doesn't have as many scales/armor as the usual KORE, is there a reason for that?

last time i when i was reading and old KORE scroll it said to protect women from blowing off their tail from their gas they cut them off at birth and years later when new ones were born they didnt have tails when they were born... or it was something like that i dont know
