I wanted to try a new thing on this one.
Since Legion is « a bit » destroyed and full of bumps, i thought it would be better to create something not as smooth as what i did for EDI.
So, i decided to put more water on my sheet to do that, but…… IT WAS A FUCKING MISTAKE !! The thing was just drowning, and it was just impossible to apply the ink the way i wanted -.-´
The result isn’t bad, but it certainly isn’t how i wanted it to be >

Gorgeous brushwork! I certainly don't see the flaws you claim this piece has. I especially like where you masked off some areas. My eye is drawn to the texture around the whiter/light gray areas around their "face" (...it's hard to use pronouns and body part descriptors for a hivemind robot, lol).
A very handsome piece with such crisp strokes around the neck and chassis

I like the result too, but it was supposed to be easy and it wasnt D8. But i checked my paper, it's my fault : i accidentally took a thinner sheet, so when i put a bit more water than usual, it was just...... soaked >_> And it "destroyed" a bit the paper cuz of that. It added a new kind of texture lmao, lucky me. But it was hard to paint on a drowning sheet lol

Oh no! Did it do that thing where the paper gets all crinkled and has that weird spackly texture? That is so hard to work through (especially since it feels like the solution is JUST PUT MORE INK ON IT TO HIDE IT OH GOD IT'S MAKING IT WORSE). Well, you can't tell from the scan~! 
(It always feels weird that I have a DeviantArt of all writing things when I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design. I also took figure drawing, illustration and watercolor painting on top of art history and I still remember some of it!)

Yeeeeees you get it ! That texture and then the paper itself is ruined and parts of it are removed cuz it’s soaked -.-
I hid it a bit and then i was lucky enough to get some weird texture effect on it XD......
Yeah it’s nice when ppl can say what’s wrong and what’s good in technical ways

I did want to mention something though. You said you fucked it up, and I thought: "Nah, looks good to me." But when I start looking down towards the chest, I can sorta start to see things falling apart(pun intended). The details don't look as crisp to me. I don't know if that's an effect of your doing.

Im not sure to understand very well what you mean XD.....
But on the bottom of the ink portraits i always let it less worked and not so much detailed, to do huh...... how can i say that. A kind of transition between the center of the drawing and the end of it. I work more on the faces and all and let the rest in a roughly way
