Thank you, I read your other comment as well and it really means a lot for you to say that to her and me. I swear to you when I made that comment it was just a tiny speck of all that I did that day and I was just happily browsing on mobile and then I just get flooded with hate, I had no idea that was going to happen and it really sucked. For you to say that stuff, just really made me feel good because I was completely shocked at the response I got. Butt Knuckle actually had been harassing me for a while before that point, but I definitely did not expect that from Moonlight. In any case, thanks for helping me feel better about my choices, though this was a while ago and you didn't have to comment at all, you did and I can't express to you how good it makes me feel.

I am so disgusted seeing amazing acts of kindness and almost immediately there's GoldenDust-Creations asking for a hand out and guilting the the artist for you changing your OC. They are not your personal machines. Knock it off.

To be honest, Golden, what you did was very rude. What you said could have easily be done in a note but instead you chose to post it in the middle of a sweet gift from one friend to another. There is a place and time for everything. This was definitely not the place for you to make that comment by any means.

Moonlight I wasn't posting on it because it was a gift, I just commented on it because it was just another reference sheet and I was asking when commissions might be open again. I have been meaning to ask her about them for a while and when she submitted this I just figure I might as well now!

Golden, I'm not trying to attack you. Just think about it though, put yourself in the shoes of the gift giver or the gift receiver (and even the artist really). The first thing you see is not acknowledgement that it's a gift, that someone did something thoughtful, or even acknowledgement of a really awesome OC. It is a comment of someone who is mainly interested in getting art for themselves. It's not that what you did was wrong but rather that it was in bad taste. I mean, if you were giving or receiving this and someone had commented what you did, would that honestly make you happy? I know it upsets me when I get beautiful pictures and all someone in the comments seems to care about is getting art of their own.
You even said in the above comment "My comment was just for her to see and answer my question, not for everyone to weigh in"
You know what does exactly that and makes this all less upsetting to everyone else involved? If you had just noted. At this point it's too late but you can save yourself from all this if you just empathize with people in the future. Besides, those sorts of things are better left to notes anyway and doing this (leaving it in a comment especially on something like this) is only going to hurt your reputation because it comes across as thoughtless.

Personally, I don't think it's a big deal at all. You said that if she didn't want attention, she should have noted, but the whole point of putting art on DA is to show it off and see what others think of it, and so on - this includes comments from those who like the art and are wondering if they can commission one. If the artist wanted to avoid comments, then they would have noted it.
You're clearly overreacting if comments like that bother you, whether it's on art relating to you or not. And you said that you're not trying to attack Golden, but all you're doing is continually going after her for no good reason and acting very aggressive, although subtly.
Do you really want to know "what does exactly that and makes this all less upsetting to everyone else involved?" If people like you would just let people like her be and move on from it instead of making everything such a big deal.

The artist herself said that she appreciated the original comment calling her out on it. There's a time and a place and it's not on someone else's gift, it's impolite. And i'm glad you're jumping on this 4 months after the fact
