Jace wakes up in his cabin to hear tiny footsteps on his roof. Any normal person wouldn't have heard it, but Jace's enhanced hearing detected it just fine.
"I know you're up there," he calls. His voice is more manly than it was two years ago, but it still held the twinge of teenage angst. "Come down so we can talk like civilized people."

They stop moving, trying to not make any sounds but you can hear a slight panting

Jace simply smiles. A fearful one, isn't it? "It's okay. You have no need to fear me," he calls out.

I sit up in bed and stare at the ceiling, my blue eyes acting as a dim flashlight.

It backs away, startled, but falls through the roof

"Oh no!" I rush inside and help up the riolu.

"Whats wrong? I wont hurt you, i wanna help you! Youre starving, look at yourself!"

I groaned and slumped against the wall. "This bull again... I never wanted to hurt anyone, i never wanted any of this. I give them the chance to leave, but they try to kill me first. The stories about how i 'burn prisoners at stake' or whatever you hear are fake, i only defend myself."

"Really?" i walk over to and pull out a large sandwich, biting off a piece to prove it wasnt poison. "Here."

I sigh and place the sandwich on the table, lying back in bed. Eventually you can hear a soft snore.
