My Sigyn's kind of a total badass, sarcastic, annoying young woman who lives in a secluded forest with her sisters and her dwarf father. She's a bit of an outcast from her family because she's a bit irritating, easily angered, and quick to accuse people of trying to cheat her. I wrote about forty pages of a headcanon where she meets a young Loki who's lost in her forest, and she continually leads him into less-than-safe situations. Sometimes on purpose, and sometimes definitely not on purpose. Think cheesy teenage adventure novel.Related content

I like your overall perception of Sigyn. People have a tendency to make her very soft hearted and sweet. I like this more. But personally I'm an Angrboðafan!
To me, Angrboða is the woman Loki WANTS. She is crafty, devious, strong and able to compete with Loki for sheer level of devilish intent. I don’t much like the portrayal of her in the comics. She comes off as a very minor character dispirited being the mother of two of his more famous children. I imagine that, if she were to show up in the movies (which I know she wouldn’t, her appearance would be greatly different.
In my Marvel movie headcannon, Angrboða is, like Loki, a half jotun. But unlike him, she revels in her heritage and is the jarl of a large city of outcasts and those banished from the other Nine Realms. Half breeds, those whose races are extinct or too few to hold their own worlds have sought sanctuary there and she permits them as long as they swear fealty to her throne. She has no real interest in conquest, beyond keeping her borders safe. But she does have a constant problem with others thinking her too weak and female to rule. She tends to decorate the walls of her city with the heads of those who would be so foolish.
Loki is attracted to her because of what she represents. She is not at war with herself. She has no great internal conflict. She sees the rule of her city as her responsibility and does a very good job. When she first meets Loki she things him amusing, so small and lean for a jotun spawn. But she is charmed by his wit and flattery and allies with him, giving Loki access not only to her city, but to all the realms it is connected to. (Thus explaining how Loki knows about all these portals and gateways.) Her children by Loki are not her only progeny, but they remain her favorite, and she dotes on them sweetly.
Angrboða is essentially the person who won’t put up with Loki when he gets into a snit. She loves Loki but is not in love with him. She likes him, likes bedding down with him, and indulges him to a point. But when he gets into his shitty little destroy the world moods, she will flat out kick him out of her palace. She has nothing against Thor or Asgard, but she doesn’t particularly like it when they come poking about either. If Loki comes to her for a good romp, a favor, or asylum, he has to entreat her favor with a gift like everyone else.
In my mind, Angrboða is almost two feet taller than Loki is. She is broad woman, with a strong, physically imposing frame. She has Asgardian skintone, but bares the cultural scarification makes of Joutunheim. Her eyes are blue and she wears her dark blue locks in dreads. She favors the color purple and gold, along with fur mantles and some armor. She bares an authentic Valkyrie spear and claims that, while her father was jotun, her mother was Skogul (a Valkyrie whose name meant high-towering).
