Description
This is dedicated to Enyalie and Nenesta and all my fellow Twilight lovers.It´s not exactly as I imagine Alice, but I wanted to try the hair, short and standing in every direction. Actually I got used to the way they have done it on the first promo photos for the Twilight movie. And then there´s the problem that I see the story of these wonderful books in my head like a movie but I never really see faces. So I had to use a reference^^ (Ashley Greene)

I wanted to stay close to Meyer´s description of Alice.. So, I tried for the really short hair. Unfortunately I need a reference for drawing and chose the face of the actress who actually plays Alice in the movie.

Looks great. I like the way you drew the hair as it seems much more "book Alice" even though you used Ashley Greene's face. But the shading in the hair isn't gradual enough because the highlights/shines in her hair just pop out.

You´re absolutely right about the hair. I have my difficulties with soft pencils and dark shading...
I intended to do it book-like, indeed.

Aha, no worries. I absolutely SUCK at doing hair. In fact, my best portraits, both of my subjects happened to have dark shine-less hair.

It looks more like the Alice in my head than the movie version, lol.
I especially like the eyes and the lips! Drawing lips always give me issues...

Yeah, I see. I made it so short because there is hair-length when "standing in all directions" starts looking really weird^^ and I wanted to go so much after Stephenies description.

this is great! its the closest i've ever seen anyone draw "my" alice, her necklace is great, it looks real. and her irises. im all for the eyes being the only color

Good that you like it. Maybe Alice now runs trough your head lookin´like on the pic. What about the nice stone? I thought of the "hand-me-downs" that Edward inherited from his mom and of which he gave some to Alice and Esme (and later Bella^^). And she *nearly* has fangs. I just couldn´t hold myself from it...
