The bead embroidery on one of the upper sleeves of the dress.The design for the upper sleeves as well as the trim on the neckline and sleeves was found on Kattie Jacobs' webpage, on the entry concerning her lovely 2004 version of Arwen's Requiem Dress, although it was slightly modiefied to fit my personal taste and vision of the dress. Holy smokes... I did not take the time to hand-bead the sleeves to accuracy; I just bought beaded fabric.

Thank you for the kudos, but I just looked through your photos and your dress is divine! Personally, it doesn't matter to me how much of the dress you do from scratch: had I found a beaded fabric that suited the purpose as well as the one you picked, I would have used it!
