No, he isn't given a solid gender correct, but mainly because Chara/Flick are meant to be which ever the player chooses. Saying "Oh no they are..." felt off since Chara feels male to me.

In the same sense, I think it would be better to think of them as whatever gender you want and comment them as gender ambiguous for the people who don't feel the same way... I personally see them both as non-binary like Napstablook (even though most people gender Napstablook anyway, which is one that actually does get on my nerves sometimes...)
Don't get me wrong, I have no issues with you using male/female pronouns for the characters, I just know that if you do there are other people who won't be alright with that.

I am sorry but then that will be their issue, this thing can tear as dirtily as the mangle incident but I am not shoving how i view the character down someone's throat. So i'd respect the same, this including responses as well.
