Description

An old OC I've only drawn once before. I liked her design a lot and it was a shame I never got to use her. I think I could've made the lineart a bit thicker but oh well... anywho! more about her:

Her name is Sour Grape. As the name suggests, she works with grapes. More precisely, she owns a rather large grape farm from which grapes are sold to micro-wineries. She attends to the grape garden alone, sometimes hires help if she needs it but never turns to her family if things go sour, so to speak.

Grape has a taste for the high society life and likes to look and act richer than she really is. Most ponies might think her spoiled, but with the amount of work she does, Grape believes she has the right to enjoy her free time in whatever manner she pleases.

Grape and her family do not get along. Her family are farmers who grow turnips for a living and take pride in their humble ways. Grape never wanted to dig in the dirt for the rest of her life, feeling thankful for the white bread on her plate. She left her family in hopes of starting her own brand of wine. For now, she's still learning the ins and outs of fine wine making, but already owns a grape garden which one day will be for her own wine and not somepony else's.

Grape is a very determined pony that is focusing very heavily on reaching her dream through honest work, but all work and no play makes Grape a sour pony. She doesn't talk to many ponies if it's not business related and can come across standoffish, but she's really just afraid that any deeper relations with others will get in the way of her and her dream. It's an unhealthy attitude but has nopony to tell her that.
