From looking at her I would make the silly remark that she would be made of taffy or whatnot.Β But hey, if she was a sweet, lovable Anti-Lethal, she would indeed be made of taffy.
Nice work~

Mikey: Not impressed. I've got a buddy who's a noctowl and he can twist his head 360 degrees. What is she a ghost type? <---My OC who doesn't like ponies

LethalAuroraMage In reply to BusterBuizel [2013-12-01 18:36:42 +0000 UTC]
Lethal's not a pony, she's not a pokemon either and owls are capable of twisting their heads maximum of 270 degrees (Noctowls are said to twist only 180 degrees. If they'd twist 360 degrees their heads would snap off). I've yet to hear of a creature that has a spine and can twist their BODIES 360 degrees and it's eerier when a human-shaped creature does an inhuman feat that would otherwise kill a human.

Mikey: I'm kinda in the same boat as Lethal. Only I'm not a psychotic crazy ghost bitch out to kill everyone. I only kill certain people when I'm told to. I'm sort of an anti-brony OC stuck inside the head of a hardcore Brony. And being a Glaceon you can kinda tell what my creator's major fandom was before the horse shit hit.

A killer is a killer no matter what. If you kill, you're no better nor worse than Lethal.

BusterBuizel In reply to LethalAuroraMage [2013-12-01 23:57:25 +0000 UTC]
Mikey: You don't understand. I have to kill, it's part of my duty. I'm a soldier, special forces to be exact. I am different than a psychopathic maniac that kills for fun... I uphold and defend my nation from tyrants, terrorists, and all sorts of scumbags. I fight for the future of my nation and if you think I'm a mass murderer then so be it you ungrateful bitch. It's soldiers like me that have kept the peace and freedom of the world! Well, my world too. Granted I do enjoy the defeat of my enemy, if and only if he or she was psychopathic. I'm from another universe where my nation keeps the peace by taking away the freedom to do bad, be it from executions or gene modification. Let me repeat that: we take away the freedom to do BAD, otherwise all other freedoms are not infringed. When you eliminate the choice to do wrong all you can do is right. I realize that this might not be acceptable in the quote unquote "Real World" but the United Planetary Federation and all it's planets enjoy a kind of living where the 1% IS the 10%....
That was... Until Lylat fired the first shot...
Sky: (my ponysona) I kinda have to agree. When soldiers are ordered to kill, they do it for the good of their nation. I know it bad and I know it's evil, but it's a necessary evil that we must do to win wars. The reason why you aren't living in a communist dictatorship or a nazi hellhole is because of the sacrifices made by soldiers who lived, died, and yes, killed to preserve the peace of this world, our world, and every other alternate universe out there. Mage, you should be thankful that they had to go what they had to go through. Let me put it this way: saving lives is like making a profit. You have to spend money to make money. It's the same thing in war: you have to take lives, to save lives. We as soldiers do believe in the philosophy that if you kill one certain individual doing harm, you can save a thousand lives... That is what I do in my universe, I am a mercenary soldier, but one who has high morales and I will only fight for Equestria and it's allies to preserve the peace and harmony of my derivative universe.
Me: Funny you mention that. When I was volunteering at the WW2 Air Museum I go to, a full blooded Japanese guy from Japan commented to me this: "The best thing that ever happened during WW2 to the Japanese was when the USA dropped the two atomic bombs." That to me, really touched my heart. He understood the value that sometimes you have to kill to save lives. Did you know that if the United States went ahead with a full invasion of the Japanese mainland causalities on both sidesΒ was expected to reach into the MILLIONS? This was because every Japanese citizen was going to fight and die to defend their god-emperor and we would not have won the war. The death toll from the bombs was only a couple hundred thousand. And now both Germany and Japan are powerful democracies with millions of lives saved thanks to the efforts of the postwar United States.
Think about that for a minute, and if your view still doesn't change then I completely understand. My two OCs are honor bound individuals with a sense of duty to fight for the greater good. Is that so bad?

1. We were not talking about war or soldiers at all.
2. One of you is a pokemon the other is a pastel colored pony. Hard to take a lecture seriously from those sources.
3. Usually people don't come to other people's drawings of fantasy creatures and start an rp in which their fantasy creatures end up lecturing them about real life wars and sacrifices.

I thought you viewed everyone who kills as a psychopathic maniac. If you walked up on a soldier would you think he was a murderer and not a savior? I kinda got the impression when you posted that comment about Mikey being neither better or worse than lethal, which was why I wanted to explain my point of view in a reasonable and well thought out debate. Still, my question still stands

LethalAuroraMage In reply to BusterBuizel [2013-12-02 01:07:52 +0000 UTC]
You're very out of line here, you know that? First you come in here and roleplay as a pokemon (of all things) that has a rather ridiculous set up, then he's suddenly an honorable soldier that I should respect while you're free to throw terms like 'psychopath' and 'bitch' at my character and then expect me to take it and agree with it? No, you do not know my character so you do not have the right to judge her like that. Firstly, by definition, a psychopath is a person suffering a mental illness. Lethal is not a person, nor does her mind function like a human's. For a person to be ill, one has to have been healthy at some point, or at least be considered abnormal to their species. Lethal is not a creature of the physical world, she does not posses a free-willed mind, so it cannot become ill. She cannot, by the definition of the word, be a psycopath(but I am not denying that her actions are unacceptable). As for the whole soldier and war related things; I chose to ignore it, as it is completely irrelevant and I would appreciate it if you would not bring it up again.

That's a bit dangerous. No matter how much I love my characters, I'm always conscious of the fact they're fictional. Blurring the line between reality and fiction is not a healthy sign. >wo be more aware *pap pap* And I was a lil upset, but I expressed my feelings and moved on, so all's fine. c:Β

BusterBuizel In reply to LethalAuroraMage [2013-12-02 05:49:32 +0000 UTC]
You sure it's not a healthy sign? My creative writing teacher said so otherwise. Once your characters take on a separate mind of their own you should leave them be. Hell, I love MLP but my Pokemorph OC Mikey really can't stand it. Of the books that I read about creative writing your should let your characters sometimes run wild so you can take note how they do things unexpectedly. Some writers actually feel bad for killing off their OCs/Tulpas. I for one just transfer them to separate canons to stay alive. Do you write a lot of fan fictions?
