It seems like every new Link and Zelda gets a new hairstyle/color.Remember back in the first Zelda when Princess Zelda had red hair? Speaking of her, what do you think her hair will look like in Zelda 2015? (assuming she's in it)

I really wish they'd also give Zelda other hair colors. With the exception of TP and the first 2 Zelda games she's always blond.

Even in Twilight Princess she blurs the line between light brown and dark blonde- as does Link, usually.
I think they basically don't want to overly confuse people or new comers to the series, so they try to keep their hair colors and styles somewhat similar from game to game. They never look exactly alike from one game to another, but they look similar enough that you know, without a doubt, that it's Link and Zelda. Personally, I'm pretty cool with this.

I kinda like that they change up the charater's hair colors and styles gradually like this. It's what makes the games fresh and different from the last while still resembling the previous games somewhat.

It's always been blondish-brown for both of them since Link's Awakening, so... (Link to the Past was the last game Link had a weird hair color - pink. But, to be fair, only in the sprite - which is actually really really weird and I always saw it as the cap-border, and will continue to see it as that! XD)

Maybe who knows, both Princesses Zeldas (from "The Legend of Zelda" and "The Adventure of Link") are red-heads (although the first one from LoZ is a more brownish red). Remember, they're two different princesses, although many people mistaken them to be the same princess, but it's not.
The Link that only had brown hair was the Link that appears in both first games (yes,. they were the same hero)
Now, the one from Wii U Link, has blonde hair, but a more dirty blonde compared to the one from HW

Not quite. If you judge the Artwork, the Link of A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening and Oracle of Seasons/Ages also has brown hair (it's the same Link after all) - though their ingame colors differ. A Link to the Past has pink hairs ingame (for whatever reason I'll never understand - I always saw it as the border of his hat, and I see the reason to make a contrast to the face color, but couldn't they make it a real hat-border?), Link's Awakening show him with blonde hair in the GBC version, and Oracle of Seasons/Ages even has blonde hair on the artwork, so... yeah XD
Edit: Ok, apparently, the haircolor differs from artwork to artwork (speaking of Link's Awakening), he's only brown haired in some of them, but mostly it's a dark blonde for all the games, that sometimes waver a bit to orange. My bad... ^^

What it's funny is that the artworks are official and they represents how they will look in the game, and yet, Β in the game (only occur with the 2D/pixels ones) they look entirely different, this happened with:
*TLOZ/TAOL/ALTTP/Oracle series
By the way, "InΒ A Link to the Past, due to the limited color palette of the SNES, Link's hair was shown as pink." In case you didn't know
What it's funny is that in the remakes, Nintendo, still keep doing the artworks' version instead of the 'pixel versions' of those 2D games. Even in Hyrule historia shown us their official artworks:img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20β¦ andΒ Β media.gamerhub.tv/editorial/20β¦ .
For me officially (looking at their artworks, which are considered the 'official designs' for them):
*Link is has brown hair in both TLoZ/TAoL
*Both Princesses Zelda (the one that appears in TLOZ and the other one that appears in TAOL) have ginger hairΒ Β (yes they're different persons)
*Princess Zelda from Twilight Princess is brunette.
While the other ones are blonde (having different tones of yellow)
