Doesn't Nintendo make Link mute so it feels like to the player that they're Link? Also how do villagers find out his name if he's mute? Does his companion tell them? To me I don't see Link as being mute ... maybe just shy and doesn't like to talk around those he doesn't know (like someone who's introverted). I like how theΒ manga make him talk and have a personality though. Β

Its just an outdated concept of immersion. Link is not actually mute and talks with the villagers if needed but was never voiced. But i guess he doesent talk much anyway
