Until approximatively a hundred years ago, Jashkanese territories were sparsely populated and had an important martial culture. With the densification of the population, came a loss of traditions that affected massively how the national army was organized. Despite being today a quite regular professional army, the soldiers kept some of the ancient ways despite stricter rules, like wearing the traditional ponytail for male (the women tend to wear short haircuts in this region of the world), or practicing martial arts unfit for the modern battlefields.
Jashkanese forces tend to work hand in hand with Intiaperian forces, as they are both under the Tchaäskoviyan sphere of influence, but their differences in army traditions and way of lives tend to create more tensions than cooperation.
