I came across this great nail art by alchemical [link] , and thought it was so great I wanted to try cutepolish's [link] technique too
Mine came out weird because I didn't have a good spray bottle for this, but ah well, I still think it looks pretty neat

I used an old perfume bottle...but the spray came out more squirty than misty... if that makes sense..lol

Hers turned out cuter, my spray bottle sprayed so much at a time that it didn't turn out like little spots like hers did.

Wow, after watching that tutorial, I am not only crazy impressed by your nail art, I actually think it looks WAYYYYYYY freaking better than the creator's! Nail art typically does nothing for me, but I'm crazy about this and how each nail is so unique and interesting. I also think you were very smart to use more hand sanitizer to get bigger areas with no black- it's much more visually appealing!
