SummerSummer always means the beach and, when I as small, it meant fishing, too. It means water, and wetness, and bubbles. And though I didn't do ANY of that this year because I've been too darn busy, I figured somone ought to go, and it might as well be my friend Shalisa.
It looks like someone's been bested by a fish; that hook has no bait on it, I realise only now as I submit the thing. O well; what's done is done.

Really fantastic! I love the "sketchy" style of it, the dynamic composition, and the use of color contrast to really highlight the figure.

...I'm laughing. Here's why.
Lou helped me with critique on this one. About two hours in, he says, "It's too cold." Well, yes, makes sense, the thing was monochromatic blues and in no way summery. So, I brought out the orange in Shalisa's fur, and Lou then said "Jeff is going to kill you."
We then went on to discuss how orange and blue are an overused color combination and that you would KILL me for utilizing it, even though it makes logical sense and just sort of happened, to tell the truth. Long story short, we talked about you for twently minutes and generally appreciated that you go to art school and that you have something to show for it.
I'm really glad you like it, and because you can pick out in a comment what I did. Don't ever stop.

Yeah... it took me about five seconds of looking at it before it hit me like a ton of bricks... good ol' orange-blue, lol. Kinda used, but for a good reason, and it's okay to over-use the basics.
