Description
Shot whilst collecting stock for a news article I wrote for the Gateway.Camera: Nikon D200.
Lens: Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 DG.
Lighting: ambient.
Software: Arranged and composited in Photoshop CS4, cleaned with Noise Ninja.

Now there's a shot with some valuable perspective. Love how it seems to pop out at you near the middle.
To be honest, the first thing that came to mind was 'Mario!'
Do they actually curve like that, or is that a trick of the camera? A very interesting shot to look at, that's for sure. Wish I could see the whole thing on screen at once. Oddly eye-pleasing.. and at fullview, it gives more details that are equally as stimulation to the ol' brain.

Yeah, that's a trick of the camera. It's composited from about fifteen separate exposures, and naturally as the position of the pipes relative to the lens gets closer, they look bigger. Thanks

I've got a thing for panoramas, and this sort of shot where the pipes look warped (going against everything we know about pipes) is what I love about the art. It's a very clean shot for a panorama, and very interesting to follow.
