Description From the exceptional comic Zebra Girl .

This is a finished, polished image, but it's fanart and not really good enough to qualify as a full-fledged gallery piece. Not that simply being fanart reduces its overal quality, but it's not an original subject. The character Sandra is from the comic linked above, written and beautifully illustrated by Joe English. Read through the archives, the story and characters are some of the most engaging I've yet found in a webcomic (or almost any comic, really, save The Watchmen).

Pencil sketch inked by hand with Staedtler Pigment Liners and a Letraset Tria inking pen, and cleaned and edited in Photoshop.

I definately need more practice at pencilling and inking.

one thing i noticed, though. in the comic, she has a halo on her shirt. in yours, it looks like something from a flower...

or a vagina...one of the two

I was trying to make it sort of folded, but it didn't really work

I just saw this and I LOVE LOVE Zebra Girl.

but I havent read any of it since christmas at least.
and you seem to be doing very very well with those inks, Dan. I think this looks great. the skin and body look best, and if you were to work on folds in the shirt or something, that would be cool. although it looks good still being simple too.
also I want those inks.
and photoshop.
you have my envy.

Cost me about $16 at the local art store (which is more expensive than, say, Michaels, but waaaaay less evil) and I got 0.05 and 0.3 Staedtler pens and the Tria, which has three tips and conforms to Pantone colour standards. Relatively cheap.

My ability to draw folds is sorely underdeveloped, obviously. It's one of the myriad of things I need to work on.

Thanks for the awesome comment, I'm glad I've managed to impress a fellow fan.
