Description
These little trees cling to the stony soil of the old glacier's path in the shadow of the present Angel Glacier. They can be as old as trees ten times their size in better growing conditions.Camera: Nikon D200.
Lens: Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX.
Lighting: ambient; Cokin graduate ND -0.5 used.
Software: Crop and RAW conversion in Lightroom 2.

Tremendous lean on that tree. My eye draws to that glacier! You and I should scramble together some time! That peak looks fantastic!

I imagine it is. My friend Syd tells me it's a good 17-18 hours up Edith Cavell. We took the walking path that day.

Absolutely LOVE this series. Very Adams Ansel-y, you perfectly captured this environment in it's essence for sure.
