This was done with 2B drafting pencil, Micon Pen and Gouache Paint on Strathmore watercolor paper. There was originally a video but it was out of focus because i used a neew camera. I have sinced went back to the old.

This is a group of Nylpid adventurers. Nylpids are a race created decades ago for our gaming group and table top campaign world. Think of them as anime-like elves with tails. I wanted a race for those people who came from JRPGs to play. While Mid-world is a more traditional fantasy world less akin to pop culture D&D and more aligneed with Tolkien, fairy tales and mythology I still wanted something in there for that JRPG magic we all grew up with in the 80s and 90s.

I did make some glaring mistakes. The first is forgetting to draw the monks left leg and noticing only after I inked and started painting. The second is my poor monk has Rob Liefeld Captain America chest, not as bad, but I was digging for that angle too hard (plan in pencil phase more), And finally the blue haired guys color came out a bit too wrong. Skin was too dark and clashed with the leather armor and the blue hair. Oh well, you learn.
