Hi Leventep, I absolutely love this picture, I am in envy of your skill. I wondered if you have a higher resolution available without the "time lapse" part on the bottom? Id really like to make it my wallpaper on my dual screen 1920 x 1080 setup?

I am really envious of your skill, I wish I could do this.Β
Its just very hard to find good tutorials to show you process.
Love your stuff.

the first step is the most interesting, I have never seen it done before, it looks like a bunch of random images mashed together to generate idea's.

Wonderful piece of art.
The water in the 3rd stage (the one on the bottom right) looks very interesting, imho better than the final version.

I consider you a master.
I do have to express a preference here but purely with constructive intent:
Regarding the last two thumbnail portions of this image, notice how the second to last has more depth than the last (and for that matter more than the main image)? If you try to look at both of these thumbnails (in between) at the same time you kind of notice the left (second to last) one is pushed back further than the right one (last one).
I believe this is because in the second to last image your warms are in front and the stone has been left cool and blue. This causes the mountains to recede while the object comes closer and more in focus. The blue stone seems distant because of the impression of air density between us and the background. I'd encourage more warm foregrounds and cool backgrounds in your composition. Thanks for helping me make this discovery from your work and for allowing me to share this.
Keep up the amazing and inspirational work. Your skills and speed have driven me to paint more and to focus my profession less on web and more on illustration and photoshop. Thank you for sharing your productions with us.

His videos are a kick in the pants to watch and they were a learning experience for me.

In his journal are links to brushes and a half dozen videos of his process at work.

This one looks so epic-- like a scene from a science fiction film. I feel like I can actually hear the background music and everything.
The landscape is breathtaking, and as someone said, the contrast between both the size of the mountains/hills vs. the crashed pod, as well as the tranquility vs. disaster is quite stunning.

I honestly don't get how you do this. The grass and mountains look almost photorealistic, did you use certain brushes to paint them that way, or did you use actual photographs?
If it's actually brushes would you mind sharing where you got them?
Absolutely love these kinds of speedpaints!

Hi!
Awesome work!
I love the brushstrokes on the rocks, grass and water. They give the pic so fine detail. The water especially looks like a photograph. CanΒ΄t stop to watch at that picture.
Greetings,
Eightleg

I really like the progress shots. Is the bottom left pic part of it or is it something else?

Yeah it is part of the progress, he usually starts with a photo and then "destroys" it to find new shapes and a composition.
