Description

After news broke that Ha’Yun will be unable to participate in her upcoming match against Cleo Fritz, the search for a suitable replacement was hastily underway. It took no longer than 24 hours before a new replacement was found. Newscasters bombarded and demanded who exactly will be Ha’Yun’s replacement, but neither Cultist nor Swaggy would issue the identity of the new challenger for some odd reason. But did have the patronage of revealing that the next bout is back on!

On the day of the match, anticipation was high from the crowd to see who will be Cleo’s mystery opponent. Some suspected that it could be a guest fighter from another team to be the opposition. Yet whoever it could be, the crowd couldn’t wait much longer, before they would explode from the suspense.
A few minutes later, Cleo left her locker room with her team and entered the ring. The majority of the fans showed little to no sign of interest in Cleo’s entrance to the match with all eyes still locked on the Cultist’s locker room.
This didn’t settle too well with the German fighter, as she looked relatively furious at the crowd’s lack of interest in her. It took the band of X, Amy Hotshot, and Cleo’s father to enter the ring and calm her down as the Cultist locker room opened up.
Out stepped a hooded figure, showing little to no glimpses of their face. As the individual made it to the ring, the individual was accompanied by her crew and most notably Abigail Raines, who closely walked alongside of em. This created buzz and gossip among the crowd.
After a few minutes, the crowd started to calm down. The ring announcer came out to finally reveal who is this mysterious fighter.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, the following competition is a mixed martial arts contest for the second bout of the Roster Clash tournament! Introducing first from the red corner, making her official debut, born in the Denenchofu district, representing Japan and the Cultist1995 roster, pupil of the legendary boxer Abigail Raines, Megumi ‘The Speed Demon’ Yamaguchi!!!!”
Megumi took off her robe, which caused a wave of curious and excited cheers for the legendary boxer’s pupil.
“Now introducing the challenger from the blue corner, representing Germany and the SwaggyAfro roster, ‘The Iron Maiden’ Cleo Fritz!!!!”
Cleo raised her fists into the air and waited for the crowd’s cheers. Yet all she got was an awkward silence, as not even a cricket could be heard in the stadium. Cleo’s face turned bright red in a fit of rage and was about to snap due to the lack of respect the crowd was giving her. It was until her own roster cheered for her, that was the match that sparked the motivation for the crowd to half-heartedly clap and cheer on Cleo.
It also didn’t help that Megumi and the rest of her posse were visibly snickering and laughing at Cleo’s lack of fans.
When the two competitors met in the middle, Cleo placed her iron fist right on Megumi’s cheek.
“What are you trying to do one-armed bandit? Scare me?”
Megumi laughed at her opponent’s intimidation attempt.
Seeing how Megumi wasn’t taking her too seriously, Cleo lifted her iron fist from the side of Megumi’s face to swiftly unclenched and pressed her hand against Megumi’s mouth with much force. This quickly silenced up the ‘Speed Demon’ and Cleo forcibly brought Megumi closer to her face. Cleo’s glare shot spears through Megumi as she leaned in and whispered into her ear.
“Zhis is no game kid, go home or get hurt! Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
With that being said, Cleo released her grip on Megumi’s jaw and casually walked back to her corner.
When Megumi could talk again she yelled to the referee in outrage, "Ref! isn’t that a rule violation to attack someone before the fight?!? How about we take some points off her score for that!?!?”
The referee did indeed saw everything that went down and signaled to the scorekeeper to deduct some points off of Cleo’s scoresheet, also giving her an additional verbal warning. After that, the ref promptly started the match up.

Round 1:

As the bell rang signaling the start of the first round, Megumi wasted no time and rushed Cleo to get the first strike on her. Cleo had a split second to try and cover-up, but Megumi beat her to it and got inside of her guard before it was fully closed. Megumi threw fast machine gun-like hooks at the ‘Iron Maiden’ while gracefully dodging Cleo’s iron gauntlet. Megumi bobbed and weaved through Cleo’s counterpunches with a giant smirk appearing on her face. It would appear that Megumi suffered little to no injuries from that first encounter, but Cleo on the other hand already had several punch marks and small welts on her face and body.
Megumi stayed in motion and mocked her opponent.
“Can’t catch me miss iron giant? This is not going to be pleasant for you then.”
She laughed sadistically and ducked under another incoming straight.
Cleo was getting more pissed by the second as the shifty Megumi was able to maneuver out of all her strikes.
"Fick dich, du Bitch!"
Cleo growled as she continued to struggle to land any punches on Megumi.
The match continued like this till the end of the round. Cleo was visibly irritated by how the round went and was demanding answers about what she could do to turn this match around.
“You could switch up your fighting technique to be more conservative”
The rookie Amy Hotshot piped up, but Cleo blew her off and paced back and forth in the corner.
Her corner began to squabble amongst themselves for what new strategy Cleo could use. This sadly did nothing but annoyed the German to a point where she stormed off and went to the middle of the ring early.
“Hurry up ref and bring that BITCH OUT HERE!”

Round 2:

In the 2nd round, Cleo tried switching up her strategies and went on the offensive. But like a repeat from the first round, Megumi easily dodged all of Cleo’s strikes and continued to mock her. In one instance, Cleo tried going for a deadly mechanical right hook, but Megumi casually slipped under it. While the ‘Iron Maiden’ followed through with her punch, Megumi noticed that Cleo left her back unguarded for a split second. Megumi wasted no time and she swiftly blitzed towards the German’s back with an open palm, smacked Cleo in the back of her neck.
The slap echoed throughout the stadium for all to hear. Megumi quickly moved out of the way before Cleo could counter and exposed the mark for all to see. A very clear handprint could be seen on the German’s neck in all angles.
Some of the stadium winced at the sight of the imprint while others snickered how Megumi was making a fool out of her opponent. Cleo wasn’t just angry now, she was FURIOUS.
She threw strategy out the window and just charged Megumi with a storm of punches. Still, Megumi came out of it untouched. Cleo, on the other hand, couldn't look better in everyone’s opinion….. This predicament continued on till the end of the round.
Cleo was from head to toe completely covered in bruises and was still fuming with anger as the bell rang.

Megumi walked back to her corner and high-fived all of her teammates who praised her for her speed. Well almost everyone.....
“Hey kid, you gotta take this more seriously and finish this.”
Abigail said while approaching Megumi.
“I have to agree with her, you’ll run out of energy in no time at this rate”
Chailai perked up.
Megumi just rolled her eyes, as she just wanted to have some fun with a seemingly easy opponent.
“Oh chill out ya guys, I have this cunt on the ropes! I’ll win this flawlessly.”
Megumi boasted while sipping on some water. Chailai was still uneasy about Megumi’s lack of focus in the fight but kept her concerns to herself. Abigail, on the other hand, was more persistent to warn Megumi, but before she could voice any more advice to her pupil, Megumi left prematurely, not wanting to wait for the start of the 3rd round.

Round 3:

At the start of the third round, Megumi showed more aggression than she did in the prior rounds. The ‘Speed Demon’ looked more determined to try and finish this match early. Megumi showered Cleo in punches and pushed her back towards the Speed demon’s corner. The Japanese fighter looked as if she was a blur at the speed she was going and swiftly secured Cleo in her corner in no time. Megumi hit her opponent from all sides and angles, to try and wear Cleo down. Yet to Megumi’s dismay, her efforts had the opposite effect on her.
Cleo sensed something was beginning to be off about Megumi. She felt as if Megumi’s punches were getting weaker by the second. She also noticed that Megumi was slower at dodging her counters than she did a moment ago.
So Cleo decided to stay patient and kept her guard up, waiting for the right moment to strike. Soon, Megumi’s exhaustion became more and more obvious to the rest of the audience in the stadium.
“Kid you gotta pull out now, she has you where she wants you!!!”
Abigail screamed to her pupil from ringside.
Megumi ignore her teacher and continued her assault on the “trapped” Cleo. After a few more straights, Cleo’s arms dropped from her shoulders and seemed to go limp. With Megumi believing that this is her time to finish this with one more hook towards Cleo’s cheek. Without Megumi knowing, she has just fallen into Cleo’s trap.
The ‘Iron Maiden’ raised her metallic hand at the last second, to catch Megumi’s fist. Megumi went pale when she realized that she’s been played.
“You should’ve listened to your teacher, brat.”
Cleo said in a low voice. Megumi desperately threw another close-range punch with her free hand, but Cleo caught that one too. Megumi looked terrified as she saw Cleo’s sinister smile.
“My turn~”
The German fighter snickered deviously before throwing Megumi shoulder-first into the ring pole. Megumi crashed into the pole with such force that the whole ring shook. The ‘Speed Demon’ screamed in pain as she felt as if she dislocated her shoulder and fell straight down to the matt. The ref went and checked on her current condition. After evaluating Megumi’s injury, the ref determined that she could continue with the match and started the count.
“1…2…3…4…5” Slowly but surely with the help with the ring rope, Megumi crept to her feet.
When Megumi turned to face her opponent once more, she’s faced with a metallic fist to the face. Cleo laid into her opposition and showed no such mercy. Megumi tried using her speed once more to dodge Cleo’s attacks, but to no success due to her using up most post of her stamina in the early rounds. While it may be true that Cleo is also tired, her pent up anger and hatred for Megumi is all the fuel she needed at the moment.
Then towards the end of the round, the ‘Iron maiden’ absolutely manhandled her opposition, causing additional rib, forearm and internal injuries that would further affect Megumi’s overall mobility.

Megumi was left in a messy heap while her corner tried to patch her up and scolded her for not heading their advice.
“I warned you that this would happen, but noooooo, you just refused to listen!”
Chailai frustratedly scolds Megumi while cleaning up her facial cut.
“OK, I GET IT!!! It’s just that beer drinking german bitch caught me off guard is all! Get off my fucking ass about it”
Megumi snapped at Chailai while swatting her forearm away and squaring up to the Thai fighter. Luckily, Abigail intervened and stopped the conflict before it could escalate. When things calmed down, Abigail politely asked if Chailai could leave the ring so she can talk to her protégé personally.
The two sat in the corner in silence while Abigail iced down her apprentice's bruises.
“Welllll? Are ya gonna tell me some advice on how I can beat that Winter Soldier knock-off or waste my time?”
Megumi sarcastically spat while waiting impatiently.
Abigail sighed and sat in front of her.
“I’ve already taught you everything I know and like I said before, you have to calm down and focus. This fight isn’t said and done, you can still rally back, first, you need to-”
Before Abigail could share her strategy with Megumi, the ref issued them that the fourth round is starting. After hearing this, Abigail cursed underneath her breath and wished her disciple the best of luck.

Round 4:

At the start of the 4th round, it seemed like a total script change for both fighters, Megumi was on the defensive this time while Cleo kept the pressure on her with several precise brutal body shots. Megumi tried going full speed, to avoid Cleo’s oncoming attacks, but her nagging rib injuries slowed her down. This gave Cleo a perfect chance to school the younger fighter and teach her some respect.
Cleo showed little to no mercy towards Megumi, but the Japanese girl wasn’t going down without a fight. Megumi connected with some nice body shots on Cleo, but her punches began to become sloppier and less swift. When the ‘Iron maiden’ caught on to this phenomenon, she knew a perfect a counter-attack.
As Megumi went in with another sloppy wide hook, Cleo ducked and sunk her iron fist deep into her hated opposition's abs. The devastating impact left the poor girl on her knees, gasping for air. She coughed and spat out a bit of blood. The Japanese fighter didn’t realize it at first, but her troubles were just getting started. Cleo ended up pulling on Megumi’s hair and brought her to her feet.
“Aw, what’s wrong kid? Where’s your clever remarks or your smartass nicknames?”
Cleo taunted with a devious smirk.
Megumi spat on Cleo’s face in pure disrespect and desperation.
“F-fu fuck yo-”
Before Megumi could finish her remark, Cleo clocked her across the face and sent her crashing into the second ropes towards the red corner. While hanging on the ropes, Megumi was now a few feet from her teacher. Megumi laid a bit lifeless on the ropes, while Abigail watched in horror as Cleo began to pummel her apprentice’s exposed back-side. This made Megumi scream out in pure pain, yet stubbornly refuse to give up.
“You gotta throw in the towel kid before it’s too late!”
Abigail yelled while trying to instruct her apprentice to throw in the towel, but she didn’t comply with her request.
Cleo seeing that Megumi was about to lose consciousness, prepared herself to hit Megumi with her finisher. Yet Cleo had a strange feeling in the back of her head and turned to see Abigail outside of the ring, staring holes through her and looking incredibly pissed off. Cleo responded by blowing her a sarcastic kiss.
After antagonizing Abigail, Cleo went and picked up the Speed Demon. She lifted her high into the air by Megumi’s armpits and shoulders like in a crucifix hold. In this position, she carried her towards the middle of the ring, where Cleo then lifted Megumi’s lifeless body high into the air for an earth-shattering SCB (Short circuit bomb).
At this point, there wasn’t much use for a ref due to Megumi being clearly knocked out, yet he counted anyways.
“1...2...3...4... “
As the ref counted, Cleo got into the turnbuckles and raised her fists into the sky showing that not only that she wasn’t finished with the tournament, but also that the Swaggy Roster was back on track.
“5...6...7...8...9...10 knockout!!!!” The crowd finally came alive for Cleo and cheered for her and Megumi’s overall performances.

The aftermath of the match:

With Cleo celebrating with the rest of her corner, Megumi was left on the floor of the ring wheezing in pain from her... well everything… while Abigail and Chailai checked on her. Abigail threw her apprentice’s arm over her shoulder and headed towards the announcer to hear the official match results. When both ladies in the center of the ring and the crowd getting quiet in anticipation, the announcer finally chimed in.
“Ladies and gentlemen, referee Henry Sangster has called a stop to this contest. At 2 minutes and 15 seconds into the 4th round, declaring the winner by KNOCKOUT, ‘The Iron Maiden’ CLEO FRIIIIIIIITZ!”
The crowd finally gave Cleo her long-overdue applause. But back in the ring, it was much more awkward than anything. Both Cleo and Megumi looked like they weren’t gonna shake hands after the match. Neither one of them moved nor said a word, until, with the addition of peer pressure from each of their corners, the fighters shook hands then paraded their separate ways. With Cleo being swamped with reporters, Megumi and compatriots made it out of the ring.
“D-damn her……”
Megumi hissed, but Abigail reassured her.
“Don’t worry, kid. I have a feeling this won’t be the last time we’ll have a shot at her… Just a little hunch of mine”

The two sat in the corner in silence while Abigail iced down her apprentice's bruises.
“Welllll? Are ya gonna tell me some advice on how I can beat that Winter Soldier knock-off or waste my time?”
Megumi sarcastically spat while waiting impatiently.
Abigail sighed and sat in front of her.
“I’ve already taught you everything I know and like I said before, you have to calm down and focus. This fight isn’t said and done, you can still rally back, first, you need to-”
Before Abigail could share her strategy with Megumi, the ref issued them that the fourth round is starting. After hearing this, Abigail cursed underneath her breath and wished her disciple the best of luck.

Round 4:

At the start of the 4th round, it seemed like a total script change for both fighters, Megumi was on the defensive this time while Cleo kept the pressure on her with several precise brutal body shots. Megumi tried going full speed, to avoid Cleo’s oncoming attacks, but her nagging rib injuries slowed her down. This gave Cleo a perfect chance to school the younger fighter and teach her some respect.
Cleo showed little to no mercy towards Megumi, but the Japanese girl wasn’t going down without a fight. Megumi connected with some nice body shots on Cleo, but her punches began to become sloppier and less swift. When the ‘Iron maiden’ caught on to this phenomenon, she knew a perfect a counter-attack.
As Megumi went in with another sloppy wide hook, Cleo ducked and sunk her iron fist deep into her hated opposition's abs. The devastating impact left the poor girl on her knees, gasping for air. She coughed and spat out a bit of blood. The Japanese fighter didn’t realize it at first, but her troubles were just getting started. Cleo ended up pulling on Megumi’s hair and brought her to her feet.
“Aw, what’s wrong kid? Where’s your clever remarks or your smartass nicknames?”
Cleo taunted with a devious smirk.
Megumi spat on Cleo’s face in pure disrespect and desperation.
“F-fu fuck yo-”
Before Megumi could finish her remark, Cleo clocked her across the face and sent her crashing into the second ropes towards the red corner. While hanging on the ropes, Megumi was now a few feet from her teacher. Megumi laid a bit lifeless on the ropes, while Abigail watched in horror as Cleo began to pummel her apprentice’s exposed back-side. This made Megumi scream out in pure pain, yet stubbornly refuse to give up.
“You gotta throw in the towel kid before it’s too late!”
Abigail yelled while trying to instruct her apprentice to throw in the towel, but she didn’t comply with her request.
Cleo seeing that Megumi was about to lose consciousness, prepared herself to hit Megumi with her finisher. Yet Cleo had a strange feeling in the back of her head and turned to see Abigail outside of the ring, staring holes through her and looking incredibly pissed off. Cleo responded by blowing her a sarcastic kiss.
After antagonizing Abigail, Cleo went and picked up the Speed Demon. She lifted her high into the air by Megumi’s armpits and shoulders like in a crucifix hold. In this position, she carried her towards the middle of the ring, where Cleo then lifted Megumi’s lifeless body high into the air for an earth-shattering SCB (Short circuit bomb).
At this point, there wasn’t much use for a ref due to Megumi being clearly knocked out, yet he counted anyways.
“1...2...3...4... “
As the ref counted, Cleo got into the turnbuckles and raised her fists into the sky showing that not only that she wasn’t finished with the tournament, but also that the Swaggy Roster was back on track.
“5...6...7...8...9...10 knockout!!!!” The crowd finally came alive for Cleo and cheered for her and Megumi’s overall performances.

The aftermath of the match:

With Cleo celebrating with the rest of her corner, Megumi was left on the floor of the ring wheezing in pain from her... well everything… while Abigail and Chailai checked on her. Abigail threw her apprentice’s arm over her shoulder and headed towards the announcer to hear the official match results. When both ladies in the center of the ring and the crowd getting quiet in anticipation, the announcer finally chimed in.
“Ladies and gentlemen, referee Henry Sangster has called a stop to this contest. At 2 minutes and 15 seconds into the 4th round, declaring the winner by KNOCKOUT, ‘The Iron Maiden’ CLEO FRIIIIIIIITZ!”
The crowd finally gave Cleo her long-overdue applause. But back in the ring, it was much more awkward than anything. Both Cleo and Megumi looked like they weren’t gonna shake hands after the match. Neither one of them moved nor said a word, until, with the addition of peer pressure from each of their corners, the fighters shook hands then paraded their separate ways. With Cleo being swamped with reporters, Megumi and compatriots made it out of the ring.
“D-damn her……”
Megumi hissed, but Abigail reassured her.
“Don’t worry, kid. I have a feeling this won’t be the last time we’ll have a shot at her… Just a little hunch of mine”
