Description

As the Sand Sharks music started to play over the arena, the lights began to glow as the Velineaux siblings came running out onto the Leviathan stage. Jaxi ran along, trying to pump up the fans as she made a lap around the ring, Mercredi following close behind. The only difference this time was that while Jaxi was in her ring gear, Merc was in his normal street attire. Jaxi had been picked for the first solo match she has had in Leviathan, and she wanted to make a good impression. The tag team was winless so far, despite showing their skill in tenacity in each of their matches. Even with that in mind, and facing a veteran Leviathan wrestler in Orca, the Leopard Shark wanted to make sure that this match was not just about what she had done in Leviathan, but also about what she would do. She flipped into the ring in slow motion over the top rope acrobatically, stretching and warming up in her corner as Merc kept watch from the apron. He had strict orders not to intervene, but he was glad to cheer on his big sis.

Dee Dee had run slightly late this particular day. Not late in the since she was actually late, but she didn't have time to meet her opponent backstage before the fight could begin. But her music began to play and she made her way to the ring. She had her hood up and head down just in case some 'loving fans' decided to boo or throw tomatoes at her. Thankfully the produce stands have been closed until further notice. She got in the ring and it was clear the type of match-up this was. The powerful giant vs the nimble acrobat. "Um hi," Dee Dee waved from her corner to the masked girl across from her.

Unlike what Dee Dee may expect from the crowd, Jaxi looked excited to meet Dee Dee and face her. "Hello, nice to meet you" the elder Sand Shark replied as she stretched and limbered up, Mercredi nodding to Orca as well. Jaxi did notice the size difference as well, but she was pretty accustomed to larger opponents at this point; there were ways to use her size and speed to her advantage. If she could pull those off, she should have a solid chance against Dee Dee. The Orca was well known and established as not a pushover though, so Jaxi knew to keep calm and in any case try to put on a good exciting match, win or lose. The Sand Sharks had gotten slightly well-known among fans for showing their ability and entertaining moveset, even without wins in their column.

"Nice to meet you too." She seemed to relax slightly and smile. "No matter how this ends I've got some peanut butter cake we can share after the match. It's a tradition I have sort of a 'no hard feelings' peace offering."

"Ooooh, how did you...." Jaxi trailed off, smiling hearing about the cake. She had heard that Orca was known for this, but she hadn't told anyone her favorite cake...had she? She looked back to Mercredi, who shrugged. Lucky guess maybe? "I hope that there wouldn't be any hard feelings anyway, shouldn't be any if we both give it our all, and give the fans one heck of a match" she said quietly to Dee as she finished limbering up, excited for the match. The Leopard Shark seemed to genuinely mean it, as her stance or expression showed any matter of hostility. Despite definitely looking ready for a match, one could say she looked.....friend-shaped?

Her opponent seemed to also fall into the friend-shaped. Whether or not Jaxi had heard the 'fans' view of the Timid Amazon or not one thing seemed for sure. The two of them were in for a real match, but neither was going to feel bad about the outcome. Dee Dee finished her own stretching as the bell rang for the match to start. She made her way out softly. She had a grappler stance, but not being too familiar with the Leopard Shark nor her fighting style the Orca decided to use caution.

Jaxi circled as well, staying out of reach of the Orca but not coming off super aggressive either. She had to be careful, if Dee was able to get hold of her and slow her down too much, she would get overpowered. When she did eventually take a few steps back and charge in, it was to fake a clothesline before diving and rolling, trying to get behind Orca to grab her before she could turn

Dee Dee fell for the fake out and was caught by the more nimble Jaxi, gasping a bit when it fully registered she had caught her.

Jaxi held Orca in a waistlock briefly, feeling her out, but quickly grabbed the back of her head and hopped forward, trying to bring Dee Dee's head down on her own shoulder in a Jawbreaker. It connects, but Dee Dee is only left staggering, not knocked down to the canvas though.

Jaxi tries to capitalize on Dee Dee's stunned state, bouncing off the ropes to aim a dropkick at the Orca's torso. This connects and makes Dee Dee stagger into the ropes.

Jaxi leapt up to stand on the middle rope, straddling Dee Dee's chest before bringing down a flurry of blows onto the Orca. She tried to pump up the crowd in the process, hyping them up.

Dee Dee was trying to endure the blows as much as she could. Grunting and looking defeated as it was obvious the crowd was for sure rooting and cheering for Jaxi. This match was starting to look one sided after all, but not in the direction the more common betting person would lean to.

Jaxi hopped down after her flurry of blows, not wanting Dee Dee to come to and be able to slam her back to the mat. She ran for a quick lap in the ring, before turning to face Dee Dee.
Jaxi was also surprised at her hot start, and mentally looked Dee Dee over to check she was okay. Not wanting to beat too much on the trapped Orca early, she kept her distance so she could unwrap from the ropes.

Dee Dee was blushing as Jaxi let her go and was soaking in the crowd's love. Dee Dee sighed heavily. She knew she wasn't a fan favorite, at least not as much as she was before the incident, but the fact that the adorable Sand Shark was seemingly getting all the attention. That hurt the Timid Amazon more than the beating Leopard Shark just gave her. Dee Dee got away from the ropes, shook her head clear, got back in her grappler stance, gave Jaxi a smile and a nod.

Now that Dee Dee was free and focused, Jaxi kept up her attack. She went to dive behind Orca once more, wrapping her arms around Dee Dee's neck and her legs around her midsection, squeezing the Orca who was effectively sporting a new Leopard Shark backpack.

Dee Dee grunted a little, feeling the unwanted piggyback ride begin. It was funny as this move was something of a finisher the much larger Orca would use herself on her opponents. Although for her it was a finisher since she would use her height and weight to wear on the opponent and then of course her more signature scissor hold legs would be digging a lot more into her opponent than the more nimble Jaxi could ever. She sheepishly smirks. "Hope you are holding on tight." While Dee Dee wasn't known for acrobatics anyone could figure out how to jump and fall on their back. Which is what the Timid Amazon planned to do and then also pancake her poor opponent into the canvas.

Jaxi held on tight, trying to squeeze what she could on the Orca, even if she wasn't as effective as if the shoe was on the other foot. But she felt herself falling backwards before hitting the mat with a crash and yelp. Dee Dee could feel the arms and legs around her go limp, as the squished shark was momentarily stunned and out of breath after the weight of Orca splashing onto her. The crowd seemed to enjoy the powerful slam in the ring

Dee Dee quickly rolled off and away from Jaxi and blushed again hearing the crowd. She smiles and steps away. Jaxi gave her recovery time, so it was only fair the Orca returned the favor.

Jaxi breathed deeply, recovering as she rolled to the ropes for some help. She didn't appear too worse for wear, just the wind knocked out of her, and she sprang off the ropes soon after, charging Dee Dee. Dee Dee this time sought to catch her in a bear hug.

Jaxi jumped up going for a crossbody, but let out a surprised eep when Dee Dee caught her in mid air! The Orca was able to shift the smaller Sand Shark in her arms, grabbing her in a bearhug. Jaxi knew that this was definitely not a good spot to be in, given Dee Dee's strength, and wiggled and kicked trying to squirm free before Dee Dee could squeeze the fight out of her.

Dee Dee grunted with each kick and effort Jaxi used to try to escape. She wasn't sure how long she could actually hold the more nimble woman, but knew she needed to drain some more fight out of her if she even wanted to have a chance of beating the Leopard Shark.

Jaxi kept trying to pry and squirm free, making progress towards escape but it was definitely taking effort. She aimed some strikes at the Orca's head trying to get her to drop the Leopard Shark to defend.

Jaxi's plan worked Dee Dee was forced to drop Jaxi, and back away. Hoping she had drained the mask woman enough for her to be able to recover before the Leopard Shark could.

Jaxi stayed standing, but was obviously catching her breath still. She had definitely not gotten out a second too soon. She backed up, rubbing her stomach, checking it over.

Jaxi sees Dee Dee coming, knowing that she doesn't want to be grappled again by the larger Orca, so she dives to the mat, trying to trip Dee Dee up with a drop toe hold by linking their legs together.

Dee Dee is caught and tripped slamming face first into the canvas hard. An almost comical bounce from the larger woman and a groan signaled that Jaxi was still in the fight.

Jaxi sees an opportunity to try to slow down her opponent a bit more, seeing her fall facedown to the mat. Jaxi sits on the downed Orca's back, grabbing one of her ankles and trying for a single leg crab. She knew that Dee Dee could likely drag her to the ropes eventually, but she hoped she could stretch the hold enough to slow down the Orca for the rest of the match. Dee Dee grunts and starts to drag the two of them to the ropes.

Jaxi kind of expected the drag, so she knew that her time was limited. She cranked back as hard as she could on Dee Dee's leg, torquing the Orca until she reached the ropes. Jaxi obediently dropped it when the ref called rope break, backing up and stalking the Orca to see how she reacted.

Jaxi obediently dropped it when the ref called rope break, backing up and stalking the Orca to see how she reacted. Dee Dee got back up but she clearly was now favoring one leg over the other.

Hopeful she slowed down the Orca a bit, Jaxi got some momentum off the ropes, aiming a dropkick at Dee's midsection. She hoped to make her double over, so she could be reached by the smaller Jaxi

Jaxi got what she wanted plus some! Dee Dee due to having her leg weakened fell to her knee making her even more open to Jaxi!

With Dee Dee down in arms reach, Jaxi sprung into action, grabbing Dee's head, pulling her back and giving her a kiss, before using her full body weight to flip the Orca over her to the mat in a Sister Abigail. Jaxi called it the Double Bisoux: she kissed her opponent, then they kissed the mat.

Dee Dee was shocked when Jaxi kissed her. While most people didn't know Dee Dee's relationship status it was a shock and surprise from the masked woman. Then the slam to the canvas happened and a pained groan escaped the Timid Amazon.

Hearing Dee Dee groan after the Double Bisoux, she thought she may have a chance to put the Orca away with another signature of hers. Jaxi quickly climbed the ropes, doing a quick hype up gesture to the crowd before backflipping off the top rope, hoping to land back on Dee Dee's midsection with her Fight or Flight moonsault!

Dee Dee, as stunned as she was, was still trying to slowly get up. But it was too slow and the moonsault flattened her into the canvas again! Jaxi went to go for a pin, hooking one of Dee's legs right after landing. The ref dropped near the two, and started to count.

The ref easily got to the two count and Dee Dee groaned and tried to kick out, but it wasn't clear if it was enough to be noticed to keep the match going.

Jaxi felt Dee Dee kick out a bit after two, popping up to a kneeling position. She was surprised after the pair of big moves she had hit Dee with, must be a very tough Orca. She tried to lift Dee Dee up to her feet, though their size difference could make that hard without her cooperation.

Dee Dee used Jaxi's help in order to get back to her feet. While the masked woman was probably intending to lift Dee Dee up in order to Irish whip her or something the Timid Amazon used the help since she had put some pressure on her leg, but once she was up enough she tried to capture the Leopard Shark in a torture rack!

Jaxi yelped surprised as the help up became help up for her, the Leopard Shark hoisted up on Dee's shoulders and bent. Jaxi squirmed and moaned as her spine and neck bent, having no luck trying to power her way out as the Timid Amazon lived up to her name overpowering the smaller Jaxi. Her next best escape strategy was wiggling and squirming as best she could, trying to make Dee unstable on her sore leg

Dee Dee grunts and groans taking Jaxi more to the middle of the ring but finally Jaxi shifting around puts too much strain on Dee Dee's leg and she has to drop. The torture rack now turned into a very makeshift muscle buster.

Jaxi finally got free after some agonizing time in the torture rack, but was hoping that it could have been a bit more gentle as it turned into a sort of muscle buster. She flopped to the mat with a yelp, groaning and holding her back as she rolled around on the mat

Dee Dee was nursing her leg trying to summon the strength to get back to her feet. It wasn't a guarantee, but at this point it seemed like whoever got up first was the more likely to win.

Jaxi rolled to all fours, slowly but surely working her way back to her feet. She rubbed her sore back, before running in trying to catch Dee Dee still down somewhat. If she could She would try a page from Mercredi's book, using the Orca as a launch pad for a powerful step up enzuigiri. The kick connects leaving the powerful Orca flattened on the canvas!

Jaxi sees Dee Dee downed on the mat, but after her pinbreak from before, Jaxi is unsure if she is actually down for the count. So, she takes the chance to rope shoot back and forth across the ring, landing a rolling knee drop on the Orca as she crosses the ring center. The crowd seemed to enjoy the leopard shark bouncing back and forth, aiming three kneedrops total at Dee's midsection. The knee drops only gained groans from the downed Orca. She was spent and the Leopard Shark was free to dine as she pleased.

As she rebounded a fourth time, Jaxi dove down for a splash on the downed Orca. After this she tried for another pin, this time going for her Pounce Pin. She grabbed Dee Dee's ankles to fold her up, laying on her as she pressed the Orca's ankles onto her shoulders on the mat. Normally she plants a kiss on her opponent's forehead in this Pounce Pin, but based on her surprisingly poor reaction to the Double Bisoux earlier, she decided to forgo the kiss as the ref counted.

Dee Dee was pretty much out at this point even if Jaxi had fully made out with her the Timid Amazon more than likely wouldn't have noticed. The ref dropped down and began the count.

Jaxi held onto the pin, keeping the Orca folded up tight. It looked like she was beaten, but the Leopard Shark didn't want to take any chances with her resilient opponent. The excited crowd was counting along, and all held their breath to see if the 3 count would finish.

"3!" The ref called out and the bell rang throughout the ring.

Jaxi sprung up hearing the bell, excited for her first Leviathan win. She hopped to middle rope on a couple sides of the ring, exciting the fans and leaping off with a little backflip. She then went to Mercredi in her corner, hugging him excitedly and ruffling his hair. And last but definitely not least, she returns to the ring center to check on the recovering Dee Dee.

Dee Dee was starting to stir again. Waking back up. "Ugh.." She groaned.

Jaxi was kneeling next to the Orca, checking in on her. "Great match, are you going to be okay? Let me know if I need to call some help over, hope I didn't go overboard..."

Dee Dee gives a thumbs-up. "I'll be ok."

Jaxi smiles, offering a hand to help the Orca up. Once the bell was rung, the Leopard Shark had only good intent

Dee Dee smiles slightly, taking the hand up.

Jaxi helps her to her feet gently, keeping her steady as the Leopard Shark raises her own arm in victory, before lifting up Orca's for a well fought match.

Dee Dee was blushing slightly just trying to keep herself small compared to everything that was going on.

Not wanting to make Dee Dee too embarrassed, she let her be for now, instead sliding out to celebrate with some ringside fans on her way back up the ramp

With Jaxi diverting the crowd's attention Dee Dee tried to make her way back to the backstage area without being noticed.

Jaxi was high fiving with some fans, when a couple of them started saying awful things about Dee Dee. Jaxi's smile, that she had since her entrance, dissolved in an instant. She paused, then dashing up to catch up to Orca. She gave the timid amazon a big hug, not caring who saw.

"You had a very good match. I was honored to have my first solo match with you. I want you to know that'' Jaxi said softly so only Dee Dee could hear. Jaxi didn't know why she had to say this, but that it needed to be said. Post Sand Shark hug, Jaxi followed Dee Dee backstage.

Dee Dee blushed as she sat on a bench in the locker room area. "Thanks for that." She said sheepishly as she started opening the cake carrier. "A lot of 'fans' ended up not liking me after I won a match a while back, and it's been messing with me a lot lately."

"I am really sorry that happened, I heard some stuff from them I didn't like, so I wanted to make sure I showed you some support. Our match could have gone either way, and I think you did great. I hope hearing this helps a bit. I haven't caught much hate from the fans yet, mostly just complaints that the Sand Sharks are just cute jobbers for the contenders to show off on" Jaxi chuckled. "I probably can't help your situation fully there, but Merc and I will help how we can. Hope we get to cross paths in the ring again, especially if there will be cake again" Jaxi smiled. "We will have to save a piece for Mercredi..."

Dee Dee nods. "Thanks." She smiles starting to cut the cake. "Well you are certainly more than just a jobber now." Dee Dee nods again. "Where is he?"

"He is probably waiting outside the locker room, he is probably excited but also too shy to barge in the locker room where folks might be changing up" Jaxi smiles. "And glad you think so, this is the first win for either of us, but we started in the main roster being pretty new, so I think we are learning a lot. The tag division has lots of heavy hitters, but Mercredi and I will at the very least make an impression with the fans "

"Well you sure did great tonight. That's got to count towards something." Dee Dee smiles.Jaxi smiles and gives Dee Dee another little hug before the two start into the top-notch cake.
