I was thinking about being girl Sonic for Halloween, then I got the idea to reinvent my Sonic fanfiction character, Elisse the Ermine, from oh... probably... 1993. When I found gen8's doll makers I couldn't resist remaking my three main chars....

Mint, known to most as Sabre, was a member of the Shinobi clan on Mobius, but she left the ninja legacy behind & ran away to pursue a dream of treasure hunting... which of course lead her to the Chaos Emeralds. Partially roboticized by Dr Robotnik, her new strength & stealth skills allowed her to escape his compound. She wears nightvision goggles, & has the racial ability to turn invisible when she holds her breath. Below a certain temperature, the pink of her fur will turn white. She can also throw small pink blades of solidified, razor-sharp light.

Deep down, Sabre thinks Sonic needs to wear some pants. She isn't terribly fond of him but pretends to be enamored with him. She manufactured their meeting, goading a monster into attacking her. As they crossed paths, Sonic whisked her away to safety. She claims amnesia & he lets her tag-along as he searches for the Chaos Emeralds, not knowing she plans to steal them once they are found.

When her own twin sister Pallida [she throws purple needles] hunts her down by order of the Shinobi, Sonic saves her life for real. With Pallida's dying breath she reveals Sabre's true name, which Sonic begins to call her by. At first it makes her angry but it eventually softens Sabre to Sonic & she fights off developing feelings for him. This makes her a little snarky towards Sonic.

Her true nature is exposed when she manages to steal the first Chaos Emerald. She goes power crazy & almost kills Sonic as a result, summoning infinite swords made of pink light. He refuses to fight back, to his own detriment, trying to pacify her. With no other choice Sonic activates his Chaos Emerald & in the power surge between their two emeralds, a fiery sword called the Sphere Key manifests above Mint. Sonic takes it & stabs her, shattering her Emerald. With Mint dying, Sonic uses his Chaos powers to fuse a piece of the broken Emerald into her chest, which saves her, leaving behind a portion of the pink Chaos Shard sticking out in a small heart-shape just below her collarbone.

Mint eventually picks up an apprentice, another Shinobi defector, July Loveless. He is a fawn with the racial ability of extremely high jumping skills.
