Wow, really good Job! How did you do your land colour? I'm having a lot of problems getting my land colours to blend well together.
I can draw the ink of the land, even colour the basic geometry like mountains and trees, etc, but that way your forests all have such nice gradients of green under the linework, that merge so neatly with the greys and browns of your maintain ranges, that then merge in with the tan of the plains... I just can't get something I'm happy with at all =[

Nice Spread, I assume that each of the shields is heraldry for a different noble house, and am guessing they would be too busy fighting amongstΒ each other to make war withΒ those in the south.

Thanks! Each shield does indeed represent the ruling house/family/clan etc. While many of them are certainly rivals with each other and have been known to engage in conflict, the kingdom has for the most part not really had any issue uniting its people in wars against its southern neighbor.

Thanks! It comes with the territory, at this point I'm pretty used to it, though I do take frequent breaks. Helps to have a video on the side, so I just kind of zone out and don't think too much about the pain of drawing so many mountains or trees etc.

Honestly, in your place I would automate it at least a bit (make mountains a brush or something) or write "there be the mountains" after drawing outer ones. But that wouldn't be as impressive.
