"I know. But I'd rather live and die...than never live at all."

When these two first met, Topiary guy looked like an awful overgrown bush...He was bitter at the world for being neglected, and carried a special prejudice against all statues based on ones he knew in the past. Angel statue woke up from years of slumber one day, and Topiary at that point was one of the only few plants left alive in the garden--so she decided to care for him. Statues have a tricky lifespan though...they could potentially live forever by staying still all the time (that's no fun though), or otherwise have their "life clock" count down for each moment they're animated or "alive" (way more enjoyable). As their lifespan counts down, their physical bodies start to deteriorate, until they completely crumble or shatter and essentially die. After some time, in Angel's last moments, she uses a shard from her own figure to trim up Topiary guy and make him beautiful again--fulfilling his dream to look normal once more. He--having a change of heart--begs her to stop moving so that she doesn't die, but Angel doesn't quit until her task is complete. Finally, as she's one breath away from shattering, she ceases her "animation" and remains frozen with Topiary forever in his arms.

And that, my friends, is the sad beautiful story of my little plant fella and statue lady~

Ahh anyways, I did it!! I finally drew these two together digitally :'D This is a pair of my OCs, Topiary and Angel (I'm still debating names I'm so indecisive..ugh But someone suggested Angelica for the statue, and I'm digging that name the most. If I officially go w that one, what would be a good name for Topiary guy? Something that sounds sweet with Angelica or Angel...? :>)
