Description 18x24 Turpentine collage

Used various clippings from various magazines which the majority was from National Geographic.

It took about 4 and a half hours, and was finished back in February of 2008.

The process os fairly simple, and the materials include Magazines, Rubber cement, Elmer's glue, Turpentine aqueous solution (chemical), India ink, various colors of acrylic ink.

Please do not use any of my art work!

I think this is amazing as is the other one, I was thinking of doing a collage to put in my AP portfolio... what exactly does the turpentine do?

it removes the ink from the magazine paper. It only works on the magazine paper the shiny stuff lol.

And collages are great for showing a different side of your self...or an idea or a view or something...

I like this piece and the other one you did. This one says a lot without a lot of words at all. Its a lot like what we try to say all the time and only half way admit. The way we go about our existence kills hundreds of animals a day. whether we really see it or not, the effects of our actions have consequences and the biggest one is wiping out animals as we know it. Its a really good piece and i give you a lot of props for it. It really expresses a lot.
