Description
Gemuendina stuertzi was an early Devonian placoderm fish. Although it has no relationship with rays, it may have had similar habits. The type specimen comes from the Hunsruck Slate of the Rheinland in Germany. This slate was quarried to provide roof tiles for houses in the region for centuries. This life-like model is on display at the Wyoming Dinosaur Center in Thermopolis, WY.
This model is abut 35 cm long. I do not know who made the model but it is of excellent quality.
