This is a collaboration between myself and my daughter Krystal. She freehands the basic pencil drawing and I then color or otherwise "enhance" the work.
This is the scene I had been waiting to see for decades! The subject of unicorns in fantasy art is so worn out that it is a wonder that every generation picks up the habit like a case of chicken pox. I am sick of getting requests for freaking unicorns and I despair to see them wallpapering convention art shows.
When Mabel roundhouses a petulant unicorn in the "Gravity Falls" episode "The Last Mabelcorn" I wanted to fist pump the air. The snotty little beasts deserve it.

that whole episode was SO RIGHT ON A MASSIVD INFINITY OF LEVELS TOO I.M.O. JUST FOR HAVING BASHED THE MOST HATE AGAINST THE WHOLE M.L.P. DURING THE EPISODE TOO.
