Mirage isn't an over-protective mother but she did display maternal instincts. She would fit nicely into the category that I refer to as "Ice Queens". You can find that picture in my Comics Gallery.

Fortunately the animation styles in which they are rendered are quite distinct. I hate the way both of the series are animated with heavy black lines.
