THANX
Nancy was absorbed by an all consuming lust for power. I suppose that might include Sarah.

I never realized the one girl was an alien. was that a deleted scene?

Shego isn't an alien. She is an irradiated mutation like the Hulk.

Wow....truly apt name, in that case. At the very least, the intensity Ms. Balk brings to her roles makes her (and by extension the films in question) difficult to forget.

While we're mentioning Buffy, Ron & Xander are basically brothers from other mothers: goofball slackers with wildly erratic lucky streaks & occasional bursts of competence.
As for the eyes...I was wondering if Ms. Go's quirky glare was a deliberate take on Ms. Balk's eerie performance. Every time I happen to spy her onscreen, that actress manages to make my skin crawl a bit. Come to think of it, she'd have fit right in on a Buffy/Charmed episode or two.
Those feet do indeed look better now, and the black/white contrast, title lightshow and skin tones are gorgeous.

TRUE STORY: If Fairuza Balk's press releases are to be beleived, her father saw her sapphire blue eyes when she was born and named her "Fairuza" the Farsi word for turquoise! Like the actress Meg Foster, Ms. Balk has gotten roles based on her destinctive eyes. She has almost been typecast in fantasy related roles for this reason. I.E. "Return to Oz", "The Island of Dr. Moreau" and "The Worst Witch".
The black and white clothing is of course the notion of the costume designer of the film. The Kim/Sarah character actually had an image on her T-shirt that I dropped.
The title acts as a neon sign above thier heads. It is the virtual source of illumination in the picture.

It was the resemblance of the four actresses to these cartoon characters that inspired me to do the picture.

I did several things to the original poster design to ephasize Shego. They are looking at her. They are holding hands and she is dragging them forard like a flying wedge, and I made her the tallest figure. In the orginal Neve Campbell appears to be the tallest actress.

I haven't seen anything with Neve Campbell since I ducked into an airconditioned theater to get out of a 103 degree heatwave in Lincoln, Nebraska. I saw (by default) "Wild Things" in which more of Neve was promised than delivered.
BTW: The character Neve played in "The Craft" was named BONNIE! It seems to be much more than a coincidence that Bonnie Rockwaller from KP looks, acts and shares the SAME NAME as the character in "The Craft".

Fantastic work. CanΒ΄t remember the movie, sure youΒ΄ve done a great job for the new cover. Seeming they have eyes only for Miss Go and she is looking like a great leader.
And now a bit of criticism: their foots are looking to small and something is wrong with the Miss GoΒ΄s eyes, theyΒ΄ve different forms or?

I have given Ms. Go Fairuza Balk's leering stare. I think she got the part on Nancy like that of the catgirl in "Dr. Moreau"on the basis of her spooky eyes.
The feet were even teensier in the sketch and I adjusted them at the suggestion of a viewer.

My, does Kimmie have a short skirt! fantastic pic!
And yeah (in reference to discussion below) Bonnie R must be the animated version of the Buffy Cordelia, although her Angel years are quite something else! Buffy and Kim aren't all that dissimilar either...

LEXLOTHOR In reply to FeudorLaurent [2008-08-24 16:12:47 +0000 UTC]
I admit to shortening ALL of their skirts, however the gratuitous panty peek at Kim was an intentional means of balancing the focus of picture so that Shego wouldn't completely steal the show.
BTW: In the 1960's an American pyschologist conducted a study where people viewed pictures while a camera was tracking their pupils. The experiment has been subsquently been replicated. It concluded that when looking at pictures of women females first look at eyes hands. Men go straight for the boobs and crotch even if the subject is fully clothed.
As for Buffy/Kim: Kim behaves like Buffy but studies like Willow.

FeudorLaurent In reply to LEXLOTHOR [2008-08-24 16:28:59 +0000 UTC]
Shego steals every show she's in, anyway.
I remember the studies of what you look at; but I seem to recall the general result was people tend to look at faces first... Sounds more politically correct anyway...
I remember starting to watch KP at a time when I had just watched all the Buffy episodes at the rate of one every other day. I felt that KP was a sort of cartoon buffy without the vampires, and Veronica Mars sort of picked up the role with the more detective-like work of Buffy...
I don't know who in Middleton could be Willow. Shego'd have to be Drusila.
Sadly, there is nothing that can fill the whole of the BtVS-sized hole in my soul...

Behavior wise, Bonnie Rockwaller is the lost twin of Cordelia Chase from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". She resembles the Neve Campbell character in "The Craft" (particularly the hairdo) so much that one might suspect that the one inspired the other.

Although I missed this film when it was in theaters I saw it on cable when it was still new. I havrecently ben doing a series of pictures of Disney characters dressed in the fashion of the year in which each was introduced to the public. KP began her TV run around 2001, so this is not her millieau.
It is always striking that when the producers of a film attempt to be "current" with things like clothing styles all they manage to do is freeze the film in time and "date" the film rather rapidly. These fashions were current for about a year in the Ninties.

Yeah,
I know what you mean. One thing I enjoyed about the movie were the suspensful spells, such as the shape shifting spell, and the near end of one them escaping from death by dispersing into her clothes. you know, we shoudl really talk sometime.

In the process of researching a novel on the subject of Wicca I became sufficiently familiar with it to realize that the spells and practices depicted in "The Craft" are about as deep as Sesame Street reading exercises.
When the black girl takes revenge on the white racist cheerleader by king her hair fall out, she crosses the line.
You get revenge by making the offender walk in your own shoes. In this particular case the Sharon McClanagen solution is optimal. Sharon M. was the witch in the Broadway musical (and 1969 film) "Finnian's Rainbow". When a white supremist offends her, she just turns him black! No physical harm is done, but the message is delivered.
