This is the business end of a Triceratops skeleton that I discovered in the Hell Creek Formation of South Dakota in the summer of 2013. I was employed as a field paleontologist by the Standing Rock Paleontology Department. This specimen was found on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. The skull had fallen apart into individual ossifications. This is the upper beak of the creature. Much of the rest of the skull was found in close proximity to this element. It is as long as my forearm.
