Man have I been swamped! Been working on a lot of non-devArt projects with tight deadlines lately. Most of them are out of the way now, so I took some time last night to whip this up in response to the most recent Homestuck update Mr. Hussie left us with before he went on vacation.I have a lot to prepare for GenCon, which is only two weeks away now! But I'm going to try to resume working on my batch commissions this weekend.
In the meantime, enjoy this (temporarily?) canon mushy nonsense.

Oh man, this pictures so gorgeous, it captures that scene perfectly, yet you've taken some nice liberties. I love how you drew Equius hair, and I love how you kept Aradia's fingers intertwined in his silky locks. I imagine that maybe Aradia always loved Equius' hair, but was pretty sure that he hated her for her blood, and wonder why such a hateful person could have such lovely hair, and be so good looking /rambling
But I love the line art, and the anatomy looks beautiful. All in all, this picture is absolutely amazing.

Oh, it is very okay right now, and I'll 'let' it happen. It's just despite the layers of things I don't understand or don't know, there seemed to be nothing wrong with her relationship with Sollux.
That is what really tears me up, and I'm a sucker for romantic tragedies.
But I'm just gonna wait and see.

The way I see it is that Sollux was with Aradia for what she was when she was alive. Her personality drastically changed upon her death, and there's a whole lot missing between then and now as to how they interacted after the fact, but I have a feeling there was a falling out to say the least. Nevermind that she wasn't corporeal anymore. She went from being cheerful and fun to apathetic and destructive. She's just not the same Aradia anymore.
I am definitely interested in seeing if any light will be shed on what happened after her death, but I don't know if I'd count on it. There are still three trolls to properly introduce and the events leading up to their becoming stranded in the incipisphere to follow.

All those things make sense, but how about this ide/theory :
Sollux has many things he beats himself up already. And wouldn't killing your girlfriend just top the cake? To me Aradia although 'hollow' still can want , care, like things, insult and can still have fun. And at the very least she still wanted him to be happy. It could very well be that the fallout resulted from Sollux's reaction to the situation, rather than the other way around. Because in the above link she described him as always sad and angry, which doesn't seem worth pointing out if that was his regular behavior.
