PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE COMMENTING! I KEEP GETTING THE SAME COMMENTS ASKING WHY A CERTAIN CHARACTER IS ON HERE!

EDIT: This is an old one, meaning I will make another one of these (possibly when we're positive the series is over), and some characters here won't be on the new one.

With the 4th season coming in 7-8 weeks from now, I thought it would be good to get out some steam about some characters that just rub me the wrong way sometimes.

10. Rainbow Dash
Reasons- Being mean to poor Fluttershy in Dragonshy, her stubbornness in Bridle Gossip, insulting Applejack in Call of the Cutie, being a cheater in Fall Weather Friends, scaring the crud out of little ponies in Luna Eclipsed, being an attention whore in Mysterious Mare-Do-Well (seriously, writers and producers of the show? Right after her awesome lesson in May the Best Pet Win?), starting off Spike's insecurity mess in Dragon Quest, abandoning Twilight along with the others in Canterlot Wedding Part 1 (element of Loyalty, everybody!), and not giving Discord a chance in Keep Calm and Flutter On (granted he was still somewhat of a villain but still!)
With all this in mind though, she's pretty low on the list because she does have good qualities in her as well. For instance, in the season 1 premiere, she obviously chose her friends over a spot with the 'Shadowbolts'. In Sonic Rainboom, she forgave Rarity for jumping into the competition at the last moment and the bullies who used to tease her back in her filly days. In Over a Barrel, she tried her hardest to find a nonviolent solution to make sure nobody would get hurt. Let's not forget her moment of clarity in May the Best Pet Win when she realized Tank the tortoise was a better pet for her than the falcon. In Hurricane Fluttershy, we also see her taking Fluttershy's feelings into consideration and stopping herself from yelling at her and that shows some development for her. But when Season 3 came along, you can bet I, along with others, was blown away by how much Dashie had grown. In Sleepless in Ponyville, she makes Scootaloo's wish come true when she agrees to take her under her wing and even admits that when she was a filly, she too was afraid of the Headless Horse. Wonderbolts Academy was another favorite because Dash almost gave up a chance to train with the Wonderbolts because she felt that if being reckless and putting anypony's life at stake is what gets rewarded there, she doesn't want any part of it. Last but not least, her loyalty shines brightest in Games Ponies Play when she takes the blame for everypony when she explains to Cadence why the inspector thought the visit to the Crystal Empire was horrible. I really hope we see Dashie grow up even more and finally become a Wonderbolt because she definitely deserves it.

9. Pinkie Pie
Reasons- Her not so subtle way of bribing Twilight for the Gala ticket, her Evil Enchantress song (I was smiling when she couldn't speak in this episode and in Magic Duel), singing her song when she saw that Chief Thunderhooves clearly hated it therefore causing him to restart the war on Appaloosa, having everypony be afraid of Luna and calling her Nightmare Moon when she CLEARLY wasn't!, not giving Dashie ANY cider in Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000 until THE END OF THE EPISODE!, her whining about the flugelhorn in Crystal Empire Part 2 and lastly, her worrying constantly about Dashie in Wonderbolts Academy concerned me(shouldn't she have more faith in her friends?)
But of course, you just can't truly hate Pinkie Pie. She can make anyone smile when they're having a really crappy day. I mean, one of my favorite songs is her Smile song (which actually brought me to tears one time!). Plus, one of her best episodes has to be Baby Cakes when she thought babysitting the twins would be a piece of cake(Ha! Puns!) and learned it's a lot more than just playtime. Another great episode on her was Griffon the Brush Off when she tried to improve Gilda's attitude and not lose her cool even with all that she did to her and her friends. Let's not forget her funny nonsense in Last Roundup...and what happens if you break a Pinkie Promise. Her performance in A Friend in Deed and Too Many Pinkie Pies was nothing short of excellent with her persistent attempts of making a grumpy donkey named Cranky (who is voiced by Richard Newman aka Rhinox from Transformers Beast Wars. I swear I kept calling Cranky 'Rhinox' when I saw the episode) and learning that sometimes you have to choose which friends to hang out with, but it's okay because your friends will give you plenty of opportunities to hang out with them. Annoying as she is, Pinkie certainly is the pony to see when you're feeling down.

8. Rarity
Reasons- Falling for a prince she's never even met, being a real attention whore in Sonic Rainboom, calling Zecora a 'wicked' zebra in Bridle Gossip, her whining in Over a Barrel, her treatment towards Sweetie Belle in the beginning of Sisterhooves Social, and some of her dialogue throughout the episodes.
For the Element of Generosity , she sure can be greedy. But still, she does have her moments like in Suited for Success, an episode focusing on just how generous she can be. I can easily say she was the victim here when she created not one but 5 beautiful Gala dresses and her friends said it’s not what they were expecting. Even in Sisterhooves Social (a 50/50 episode for me), she got dirty and wet all for the sake of being called Sweetie Belle’s sister again. Two other moments that stuck out for me was her conversation with Sweetie Belle in Ponyville Confidential and her generous skills in Games Ponies Play. My favorite line from the conversation was this ‘Do you really think that writing nasty things and making everypony feel horrible is your destiny?’ She knows how much her sister wants her cutie mark, but she knows that her sister is too sweet of a filly to get a cutie mark like that. As for Games Ponies Play, she steps up to the plate and tries her best to perform the ceremonial headdress, something she had never done before but is willing to help out so the Crystal Empire can host the Equestria Games. While she may not be my favorite pony from the mane 6, but she’s still an important part of the cast.

7. The Great and Powerful Trixie
Not only did she make a really painful joke (Really? Neigh-sayers? This is why animal puns are my least favorite), she also lied about defeating an Ursa Major. When an Ursa Minor came to town, she tried to save her hide by actually trying to take it down but to no avail. Later, she came back wielding the Alicorn Amulet and turning Ponyville into a depressing town. Her only saving grace though is when she apologizes for the whole event and with that puppy dog face she made, you know you gotta forgive her. Hopefully, she’ll get a bigger role in the next season.

6. Princess Celestia
Before Cadence came into the picture and became my least favorite princess, Celestia was exactly this. She never really helped out in the season premieres/finales except for sending those letters to Twilight when her friends were discorded, trying to protect her subjects from Queen Chrysalis, and giving Twilight the book with Starswirl’s spell, thus making her a princess later on. Her biggest sin though is turning her back on Twilight when her brother AND her friends. By this time Celestia had become like a second mother considering how much Twilight cares about her and she chooses a princess we barely know anything about over her student?! This is why I prefer Luna over her any day. Then again, she has some good points. For instance, she brought the statue of Discord so that the gang can bring him back and put her faith in Fluttershy. Not to mention, she guided Twilight to her destiny of becoming a princess.

5. Gilda the Griffon
We don’t hear or see much of Gilda nowadays, do we? Why? Because she made Fluttershy and acted like a jerk to Pinkie Pie, especially during a party that was MEANT FOR HER! One thing that bugged me most about her is when she told Fluttershy to watch where she was going when she could have just as easily moved out of the way herself! She was facing forward, for fuck’s sake! Still, it would have been nice if she had made a comeback. I kinda liked her in beginning when she was hanging out with Dash.

4. Garble the Dragon
Talk about stereotypical. Why couldn’t they make Garble the understanding one of the dragons? Picking on poor little Spike, insulting Celestia by calling her a ‘namby-pamby pony princess’, and planning on smashing a phoenix egg! It isn’t even born and he wants to kill it?! It’s guys like him that give dragons a bad name! Seriously! Can’t we have at least a few dragons that aren’t complete assholes?!

3. Tie between Prince Blueblood and Lightning Dust
Just because you’re royalty, it doesn’t give you the right to be a complete dick to anyone. Rarity learned that her prince charming was nothing but a spoiled jerk not doing a single thing for her. Some gentleman he turned out to be! Now on to Lightning Dust. The only difference between her and Blueblood is that she’s actually enjoyable from the start. But later on, we see that she’s kinda like Season 1 Rainbow Dash. She made Dashie clip her wing, cut in front of the teams when she was supposed to stay in formation, and she unleashed a tornado with Rainbow Dash that almost destroyed the academy and almost killed the rest of the mane 6… and doesn’t care. No wonder she was kicked out of the academy. And for the fans saying that was a harsh punishment, let me tell you that she could have gotten a lot worse for that.

2. Tie between Surf and Turf and Sunset Shimmer
Now we’re getting into the bottom of the barrel. Even though Surf and Turf appeared in one episode, I hate them every time I see them in Putting Your Hoof Down. Why? Not only did they tell Fluttershy to get a life, but they came out of nowhere just to talk in front of a vegetable stand and not even buy the produce and their voices are just grating on me! I hate Valley-girl accents with a passion. On to the matter of Sunset Shimmer, she’s a bitch and an idiot. She insulted poor Fluttershy, tore apart her and the other girls, tried to sabotage the dance, and tried to kill Twilight and the girls. But wait! Why did I call her an idiot? She was going to ‘break’ the portal to Equestria… during the time the portal was still active, meaning the sledgehammer would just pass through the portal like anything else! However, she does manage to pay for her sins in this movie.

Now before I get to my number one, here are some dishonorable mentions:
-Cadence( She’s kinda bland compared to the other princesses and let’s face it, she was only created to sell toys. But she does have a pretty voice and some good designs)
-Snips and Snails (Yeah, you probably wanted to see them on this list, but they weren’t because they’re just kids and kids can do stupid things… like bringing a dangerous animal to a town and following two people that try to do horrible things to twilight and then later get reformed)
-Everyone in Putting Your Hoof Down except for Iron Will (In A Friend in Deed, everyone was friendly and cheery. Here, they were the complete opposite. They all turned into complete dicks just to have Fluttershy assert herself and then take her assertiveness to extreme levels
-Cheerilee (No, not because of Cheerimac. It’s her actions sometimes. I don’t like it when she rolls her eyes at her students even if they do deserve it. She also doesn’t have the authority over the CMC when they apologize for putting her and Big Mac through that whole love poison thing and she tells them they have to do his chores. Shouldn’t that be Big Mac’s decision? However, she does give us insight on important subjects such as cutie marks and what kind of creature Discord is)
-Almost anypony from Canterlot (This one kinda speaks for itself)
-Flim Flam Brothers (They tried to run the Apple family out of business and they still tried to sell their shitty cider! The only upsides are their designs, their incredible catchy song, and the fact that one of them is voiced by Scott McNeil. Mmm, I love me some Scott McNeil goodness.)
-Mulia Mild from MMMystery on the Friendship Express (Dear Luna, her voice was annoying!)
- That one pony that yelled out Crystal Princess during the Crystal Empire premiere (That quote alone opened up a few plot holes)
And now without further ado…

NUMBER 1. Diamond Tiara aka THE SPAWN OF SATAN
Where do I even begin on this little piece of shit? I never thought I’d be able to hate a fictional character this much, BUT I DO! Her voice is annoying, she’s an idiot and a bully, she’s disrespectful to her elders, and she cares about nothing except herself! I feel sorry for Filthy Rich for having to put up with this little brat. She constantly picks on Applebloom and her friends for not having cutie marks when hers isn’t even all that special. She called Granny Smith a ‘kooky old lady’ just because she didn’t want to admit that without Granny, her father wouldn’t be the big success he is today. Her worst performance was in Ponyville Confidential when she forces the CMC to keep writing or else she’ll post their embarrassing photos and she reveals she doesn’t give a rat’s ass about anyone’s feelings and to top it all off from this episode, she has the gall to call herself ‘nice’ and then the next thing you know, she pushes Dinky Doo! Bitch, there are SO many things I’d call you and ‘nice’ isn’t one of them! But wait! There’s more! She and Silver Spoon caused Applebloom’s cousin Babs Seed to be a bully! (Not to mention her lame comeback ‘lame-kin’)And SPOILERS! According to the Season 4 animatic, she and Silver Spoon have the nerve to point out Scootaloo’s inability to fly! Come on, you guys! Why do have to make Silver Spoon just as painful as Diamond Tiara!? I actually liked the fact Silver Spoon was the first pony to applaud Granny after her presentation. To me, that showed that even though she thought Granny was a bit odd, if it weren’t for the old mare, Ponyville wouldn’t exist! But no! Apparently Diamond Tiara still needs a side kick. Hopefully in Season 4, Silver Spoon will get tired of Diamond Tiara and leave her for good, because that little bitch is far more evil than the 4 major villains put together! (Well, now 2 since Nightmare Moon is gone and Discord is reformed)
