Yes, I'd say the eyes are supposed to look like that. Because I decuded that I was finished with this image.
The greyness may have been the result of reduction. It's what happens when I make the details too small when working. I forget that sometimes.
As for powerless eyes. All depends on what your associations are. I don't have strength to eye color conection. I do have a eyelid to alertness association though. It's like when the eyelid is droopy as opposed to fully retracted, the pwerson look sleepy, less alert, maybe less powerful.

i would figure that you'd make the eyes blacker darker and longer....

Yes, the eyes are small. I made them that way.
Gray, yes. Because it is a reduced version, at 100%, They were subtle to begin with at 100%, reduced, they're even less defined.
So we are in agreement.
As for powerless eyes. That's your definition, not mine. We all have our own opinions.

Nice. I like the color scheme of this. Earth tones are severely underused from what Ive seen. The shades of this are great but could be smoothed out a little bit as i'm sure someone's already stated. Anyway, great work.

Oh, yeah! I like how he seems fixated on something. Or perhaps he is contemplating his next move. Whatever he's doing, he's looking good doing it, hehehe. And yeah, the cracks between the wooden planks in the background are pretty awesome, good job. The color looks fine to me. It all depends on what you are trying to achieve and how realistic you want it to look.
