Wow... This picture is GORGEOUS. I love how the commuting traffic is blurred and all. I've been to Tokyo Tower once but it was during the day time.

this is excellent. first of all, its a very crisp picture. I really like the clarity and stillness of the buildings vs. the speed and momentum of the cars on the road, and it's cool the way you used the "star" shaped intersection as a design element to separate the space in the image...
I'm digging how the lights near the bottom have a green hue to them, whereas the lights near the middle have a red hue to them. This seems to balance out the picture, where the real " meat" of the picture is the horizontal road in the center and the city surrounding it. The negative space of the gray sky up top is essentially negated by the green lights and trees in the bottom.
kick ass work. It's well thought out and well executed. Out of curiosity, what kind of camera did u use?

I am glad you dug the same directional elements I enjoyed while looking for a shot. It is one of the reason I choose this one to upload.
I use a Sony P51, it's the second from the lowest line of Cybershot cameras.

The mesmerizing lights of such a distant place..
They seem so close in this beautiful photograph.
You have acomplished something amazing here,
something that defies being labeled. I comend you.

I love how it has a hint of fakeness to it. Almost kind of like making it a well defined painting but not. Just looks real cool to me.

You were in Tokyo? Christ I wish I had known, I'm living in Toyama City and even though they aren't close to each other I'd have tried to get there.

Great shot! I love the range of tones in the picture. Not just the colors, but the grays as well. Tack sharp, too. Very well done. Good job!

it is always nice to visit a unfamiliar place! Especially one of the source of so many of my hobbies!
My only complaint was rain, it rendered even day shots kind of grey and required some unatural hue adjustments in software.
Thanks for looking!

nice pic...
you know what...I've been to Tokyo 4 times and...I've never been up the Tokyo tower....makes me want to go up next time...I assume you had one of those cameras you can hold the shutter down...or did it do it by itself? tripod? I dunno how anyone can hold their camera still enough not to jiggle :3

I set the camera to snap on a timer, mounted on a mini tripod that I bought the day before. It was a cheap one and barely held the position, so I had to keep my hand on the pivot lock so the camera dosent tip over, both on pivot and the whole little tripod.
Before I got that little rig, I had to spend quite a bit of time setting the camera on objects to get the proper shot.
Thanks for commenting! I hope you decide to visit that popular landmark on your next visit.

heheh i should get a tripod...I've been doing as you were before...setting it on things and hoping it didn't move too much.
I plan on going back to Yokkaichi in July for 3 weeks but don't know if I'll make it back to Tokyo....Kyoto for sure I think since it's closer
and you're welcome :3 I like commenting :3 your stuff is so gorgeous :3

Always wanted to go to Japan. I'll have to go sometime. I want to road trip across the states first, though. My girlfriend wants to go to Europe and I'll be going with her at some point, so maybe after that, I'll take the time and go to Japan. But its on the official itinerary, for certain. This is a very nice shot man, I like how it came out. Good stuff.

Do everything you can to get there. Once you're older and get locked down by job and family responsibilities, it will be so hard to just take off.
Do everything you can, man!
Thanks for loking!
