One of my recent hire projects. Uploading it because I mainly like the colors

Here is what I wrote to my contact after designing it:

I have been brainstorming the idea for a while, and realized that the best branding method for the company would be via a very unorthodox coloring, and a very unique and distinct design aspect. This will ensure that the logo sticks to the customer's mind, while still being readable and simple. Thus, instead of going for a carpentry tool, I went for the most basic thing this company does and something everyone can attach to a carpentry company: wood planks!

I wrote the words PE from ProEkko using wood planks. And then combined them into a simple icon that can perform anywhere! It catches attention; and as the customer tries to think what it means, he will end up remembering it forever! Simple and yet catchy, aye?
