Here's a Conan piece I did recently just for the hell of it really. He's the one character I'd love to draw in comics that I haven't already and every now and again I just get an urge to give it another go. This one's a kind of Buscema/Windsor-Smith fusion. Enjoy!Best,

Buscema working with Ernie Chan in the black and white pulps, and BWS were my favorite Conans. Very nice. I wish they'd give you a run?

i hate to say this cause it might urge you to drop Gears, but damn, that's one of the best Conans i've ever seen...EVER. it just oozes with savagery and grit. seeing as how Darick Robertson gave the character a one-shot, i think you can also do the same. damn, this is just all kinds of awesome! great job as always, Liam!

Yes, the first thing I thought when I saw the thumbnail was Barry. All the detail he would put into those Conan pieces, but with your own post-steroid era style

Gorgeous detail as ever - like the BWS nods in it - also brings to mind Brec (finally got my hands on a copy of God Killers) - who I guess is cut from a similar cloth

So far so good (how's that for damning with faint praise? - to be fair I'm only a couple of chapters in, but I like that you cut to another fantasy world from Brec rather than a scifi milieu which was what I was half expecting. I like the concept of the Soulless - the logic flow works well for me on that - and it certainly "breathes well" as a world if you know what I mean - and the nods to the Celtic myths with Balor add familiar elements to ground the fantasy too - so yes, enjoying it immensely (though as I'm in the middle of packing to move house I'll probably give it an immediate re-read when I'm done to do it justice)

Conan is my kind of type too.
I have dozens of unfinished 3D pics in my pc never published, just cause i wanted them to express the true character's spirit...
I really have to find some time for this...
