This one is a worthy interpretation of Frazetta's char. I think it makes a great tribute to him. And even though the father of fantasy as we know it today has left us I am happy his art lives on and is a base for such awesome paintings. Just the way the Death Dealer holds the axe...how awesome is that? It seemed unnatural to me in the first moment and then a chill of awesomeness ran through me when i realised how he was about to cut-open that charging beast...Chears m8 for sharing this

Thank you! And I think you're right, you have to look twice to see the motion that is ABOUT to happen...
Take care and very best,
Liam.

Heroic fantasy doesn't get more basic and brutal than this. A warrior with a large axe he probably wields like a butter knife, massively muscled with an arresting helmet that indicates he may not be on the side of virtue; in a bleak, beautiful setting facing Yeti's from hell. Live or die, no audience, no babes to rescue, maybe a fee to collect if he survives. Great stuff!

Frazetta would be pleased with your hommage. Just his concept: a moment of tension just before strenght explodes. Great.
