Thank you! I have to tell you I actually painted all the elements in Photoshop, so they're all my own art. I'm not convinced this piece really works as I hoped, but it was a worthwhile experiment!

I keep seeing the fella with the corn rows so much, Since you are the artist might i ask who he is what he has to do with the story?

The guy with the corn rows is Jace Strachan, a new Gear I co-created for the comic series - which bridges the gap between the first and second game. You can also hear him in Gears 2, though we don't see him. I believe he may be in Gears three, but I don't know for sure...

Thanks Liam that help alot! I'm going to go into town(yes it does make where i live seem a bit rural!) when i get paid and get me several of you gears of war comic to see more to the gears story.
And speaking of gears 3, The new trailer look amazing, Sad like the last Two teasers, They do an amazing job on those.

Damn this is excellent. Although I do think your other piece is amazing, this does seem to be better, for reasons I think has already been mentioned.
Times like this I wish I didn't have such a low tolerance for games with aliens and monsters and zombies so I could play the awesome ones e__e

I agree, the layout here is much better. whilst looking at this picture, I was hoping I could pick your brains. I'm about to start colouring a picture I've drawn with much more traditional 'comic' inks, but I'd like to colour it in this kind of style. I'm pretty good with photoshop these days, but I'm still lazy when it comes to custom brushes. Do you use many custom brushes? How have you achieved such textured skin & how the hell did you do the smoke from the cigar? Unfortunately, I seem to have lost my Imagine FX cd with your tutorial, & I have to admit I find it hard to follow instructions from a magazine.... I'm still waiting for that invitation to your house ;-P

Then you should read the Gears comic I draw for Wildstorm!
They're characters called Jace (bottom) and Barrick. Jace features in Gears 2 on the com, you just don't see him.

Sadly I don't get the jpgs with words on, otherwise I would. They send me the colored pages so I can make any comments/changes before they are published.
