I don't remember exactly where the idea for her came from... Just that and I were sitting around watching Teen Titans, and talking about her Crankyman ideas, when I realized how much I wanted to make a couple of superheroes myself. Somehow, we came up with the idea of a fungus girl.

She was initially intended to be a villain, but that lasted 5 minutes. I then decided, instead, to make her a hero, as it would be more challenging to do with someone with those kind of powers, that kind of origin, and that big of a secret to hide.

Anyway, yeah, it's sloppy in places, but it's concept work. I probably should have left it flat anyway, but I can't resist some basic lighting. (and I can't do cel shading, so don't even ask.)

Apologies for my sloppy handwriting, so just let me know if you want to be able to understand anything you can't read, and let me know what you think of her.

(and if you want to colour the lineart yourself, I have it. Just let me know.)
