Story:
I would be lying if I said I am not afraid. I already feel the ground burning under my feet, the pounding inner sound that makes my head hurt. Good start for an early morning, huh?
But lucky for my sorry ass, our class will start at midday, and as our starting number is 311 we still have time before the madness. Just like Aemilius, Marty knows exactly how I feel, what I feel. Though I am thankful he is a bit more mature in this topic. He is a more laid-back, less of a show-man horse, salvaging me from at least one stress factor. But fear him not, he might be a gentle giant, he is a well-mannered, tall, handsome horse with great movements. Unlike Skyline, who was projected to be a true eventer, Marty should be a dressage horse. But for some unearthly reason, this boy can jump and run like a pro, so he showed his talent in eventing early enough. So that is why he is here today. The horse, who supposedly never would compete as an eventer, is a 5-star eventing horse right now. And honestly, I couldn't be prouder of him.
The day went just as fast as the first day, and in a blink we were standing at the entrance of the arena, watching the team before us finishing their turn. An event full of big names, with many show experiences behind them, bringing all of their talent today, as expected.
I still remember my mother’s words: “Okay, you know that we want you the best. But if you decide to join a show, don’t cry kiddo. Put your feet down and do the job, it was your decision.” It might sound quite harsh, and not gonna lie, it was a bit of a punch in the face when I heard her saying it out plainly. But damn, she was right. I was the one who decided to join and do this.
“You don’t work only for yourself. You work for your horse too. He did a tremendous job to get to the place where you are right now.” This is a sentence I wrote down when I was around… 12? 13? I was still riding my old pony, Finín, having some doubts about all the stuff I did after a bad week. I remember it was a rainy week, all moody and Finín was kind of bored of me committing all the errors. When I went to grandpa to tell him how I felt like I shouldn’t be riding, he stopped me and told me the mentioned sentence. And funny enough, my younger self burned it in her mind… Better than I did, honestly. Heh, yeah, my current self could learn a few things from that younger self.
But let’s stop focusing on the past. It was time to do our job. Marty worked a lot to get to this level, and so did I. And while he would do most of the job, I hope I can be a helpful aid in our teamwork. I shoot a quick glance at dad in the crowd, who sends us an encouraging smile, before I turn back, facing the arena.
“Okay boy, our turn.” I take a deep breath and fix my position. I might feel like dying inside from the anxiety, but I try to close it off as we enter the ring. For our teamwork, for Marty.

And here we are, continuation of a mind game for Leen she gets the motivation from everywhere honestly, but of course, different people, different ways of helping/lecturing/motivating. At least she remembers things other say (which might not be the best every time, but ohwell)
I don't know how much time I spent on my entries as I enjoyed doing them a lot and tried my best (while I spammed some friends about it - so thank you guys for still surviving beside me and helping me )
