For the record, the original question was "Can we get Uncle Sam out of that dull old bureaucrat suit and into something more superhero?"

My only reservation concerning the Samuel Wilson incarnation of Uncle Sam has always been that he dressed like a politician, not an Elder Statesman of the Superhero community - dagnabit, Uncle Sam didn't wear striped trousers and a top hat because he wanted to BLEND IN! - and I set myself to work out a plausible new look for the old Icon of Patriotic Splendour for the sake of giving him a little more panache (without simply reusing the Old Classic).

Enter HAMILTON the Musical and I had my visual hook; A mixture of the minuteman and the modern which I personally love, which hopefully will please at least a few members of the audience (oh, and those wondering if this version of Uncle Sam sounds like Mr Morgan Freeman are free to make up their own minds, but I personally think he sounds like Mr Keith David!).

^^ This illustration was based on the characters acquired by the Distinguished Competition from the former Quality Comics stable and drawn most excellently by deviantArt.com's own Ibrahim Ramos - all credit to that excellent artist and to the original creators, all complaints should come to me. ^^
