Description
Picture, model and rifle by LichtschrijveThis is a picture of 3 in a series of conceptional landscapes. in this particular case an american soldier (Private Knight) was found on a dutch battle field after been lost for more then 50 years. he was found 2 years ago by 2 amateur archeologists. he is reburied in the US now. My tribute is a dutch soldier playing taps at the place where he was found. but not in battle dress. because it was so long ago in a strange country. and because of his actions we are in peace now....hope this makes sense to you....its a tribute for Private Knight!

That's such an amazing picture! So sad though that he's the last standing.

Always loved the sound of Taps; rather simple, yet rather meaningful.
Really, really well done; I like the choice of color (the lack of, rather), and the way the silhouette of the rifle and helmet is lit up by the sky behind it.
I think the only thing thats a little confusing is the mix between the formality of the soldier wearing (what seems to be) sharp clothes and a barrett like one would wear at a military funeral, in contrast to the gun and rifle as a sort of improvised grave for a fallen comrade thats made on a battlefield; I guess I wouldve expected the silhouette of the soldier to seem more rugged and have its own helmet (or the gun/rifle to be a cross or tombstone instead to more match the sharpness of the person), but thats just my opinion
