It is finally done. Finally.I was honestly scared of this picture. I was so afraid of ruining it that I almost didn't dare to work on it...
But now it's finished. And... I couldn't be more proud ^^
It's no line art and just colouring pencils. And why is it so small? Well, it's is about this size in real life and looks the best this way.
Gosh...
The characters you see are the drow brothers Calvin (mine, being the one to the left, further away) and Tyeron ( *Verdokai 's, being the one to the right, up front) These two practice fighting a lot, and for some reason I just felt like capturing one of those moments...
And GOD that put me to the test >_<
This picture was seriously one of the most challenging pictures I have ever done...
This is what I practiced on this one:
1. Perspective (drawing Tyeron from that angle and Calvin further away)
2. Poses (drawing Calvin standing like that... and no, it's not perfect but I'm getting there)
3. Movement (something I tried to get into this, yes)
4. Background (forest... trees... grass... ugh...)
5. Colouring (with only colouring pencils)
And if that isn't tries for improvement, I don't know what is.
I am extremely proud over this one. Live with it.
I love it with all my heart.

I've practiced a lot with them, and even though I'm a frequent Photoshop user now, it's still my favourite medium ^_^

I like colored pencils. I just can't find/afford good ones. Just the crappy roseart or crayola ones XP

Mine just break all the time because the wood is too soft. I can never get a good point on any of them.
Maybe my pencil sharpener is the culprit?

That might be it... try buying a new one
I rarely sharpen mine, because I apparently don't need good points on them
The more I think about it, the more I realise how low my demands are when it comes to coloured pencils

I think I'll do that. Use my Christmas/birthday income.
I think that if I could just get them to stop breaking somehow I'd be able to stand roseart colored pencils (I like their colors better than crayola).

You're improving ^^ I'm impressed how well you pulled this off. So many things could have gotten wrong, but this is really nice.
I really like this pic - I really like that it's without lineart actually... I must try that myself someday.

And the whole thing with having it without line art is really tricky
I'm not totally sure if I like it as a technique overall, but it was perfect for this picture

Shiet! Är verkligen imponerad, du SKA vara stolt över din bild
Gillar att du inte har använt lineart, och bara kört på med färgpennor. Bilden får ett helt annat uttryck och effekt (? hur ska jag förklara?
Du har verkligen lyckats med gräset, buskarna och träden i bakgrunden 
Det som du skulle kunna ha gjort (om det är möjligt, annars tänka på det nästa gång du gör en till sån bild) är att göra dammet lite tydligare, typ göra det mer suddigt och sånt om den lägger sig ovanför karaktären.
Som vanligt färglägger du avundsjukt bra
Hoppas att du har fattat något av mina flummigheter, är uppe alldeles för tidigt för sånt här

Det blir som mer realistiskt utan line art... För i verkliga livet finns det liksom inte svarta streck runt allt. Det blir mjukare och mer realistiskt så att säga.
Och nej, den posen ritas inte ofta O_o

Det hade förmodligen sett för blekt och glåmigt ut om jag gjort träden mer suddiga ut däremot. Mycket av livet som finns i bilden finns där.
Och dammet ÄR tydligare. Det är bara scanningen som slaktan den lite.
Grejen är som den också att dammet inte borde vara mer över karaktären eftersom det då skulle färdas onaturligt framåt. Om Calvin hade glidit längre så hade han haft mer damm runt sig, men som det är nu så har det inte hunnit stiga så mycket.
