i stopped off last May at Emerald Bay, lake tahoe to shoot this waterfall just after the sun dropped from a long day of shooting a little wedding. it was so beautiful at night. but when i got home and looked at these images on the computer they were crap in color. everything was way too blue & dark or the moon was way too bright on the longer exposures. luckily i had a little angel come up with the idea of turning it black & white. almost a year later i have this shot.

this sold at my first show a few weeks ago. it was a wonderful feeling. 
sorry i've been away from dA, life has been crazy busy and so so so good! is it time for a vacation yet?!

yeah totally agree, it does have this eerie sadness to it at top but i think the bottom brings a little equilibrium to that with it's smooth waters being so peaceful...
