Dude those marks on the pear look perfect - nice job on the material there. I'm no expert in Blender, but if you could tweak the lighting or render settings to enable global illumination, I think this scene would have a lot more depth and realism to it. At least in 3DS Max, global illumination along with area lights gives you softer shadows and more photorealism.

Yes I would like to do that... Unfortunately I have lost the original file. This is the best this scene is going to get... Perhaps I'll try again soon on a similar scene.
